Evan Mulawski Cradling emulator
I'd like to know how can I make cradling work. I had it working - it succeeded after manual doing File->Conn.Settings->Connect on ActiveSync 4.1 and cradled PPC5 emulator. I have PPC 5 SDK installed on Win XP SP2 and Win2003 Server SP1 + VS2005 on both. It stopped working after ActiveSync re-installing on 2003Srvr. On XP it had never worked. I hadn't DMA transport in ActiveSync conn. options, only COM1/2 - in all cases. I read that I posiibly will need to install Virtual PC 2004 to add DMA to ActiveSync. FourBlades Program Hangs in VS2005/Device Emulator
I'm attempting to debug a project using Visual Studio 2005 and the Windows Mobile 5.0 Smartphone emulator. Everything was working ok - project was running etc, then for no apparent reason (no code or settings changes) the project now hangs as soon as it begins executing on the emulator. Also the program files and the test files I was using were no longer in the emulator's directory. Tried other projects(that all previously worked) - same result. Tried debugging my project and others on a device through VS 2005, all worked fine. To date I have tried... Uninstalling and re-installing the project via the emulator. Clearing the saved state. Raymundo Chapa94595 Tips for GPRS fake network
Is there a trick to getting the fake GPRS network running The WM5 emulator is able to access the network without issue when cradled but I cannot access the network via GPRS/FakeNetwork. Do I need to set a proxy server setting or something even though I'm raw on the internet I have loaded the VM network services provider but there don't appear to be any settings to muck with. js06 Accessing sdf files on VS2003
Greetings! The company I'm working for has an ASP.NET system made using Visual Studio 2003 and the 1.1 Framework. Now we need a Pocket PC application to work with a subset of the main app's database. There is already a Microsoft Access file that does the same work which this PPC app must do, and we have in the ASP.NET system an import functionality that takes the generated .mdb file and extracts all the information. What I need is a way to extract from .sdf files the information that we currently obtain from .mdb ones. I searched around the web and it seems that the namespace needed for this is the "System.Data.SqlServerCe.dll" (or something to that effect), but I can't find the references to add to our project under Visual Stud ...Show All

Good Morning, In review of the Reporting WSDL, I am unable to locate the paramater to request that my returned file remain unzipped. Will the latest release allow me to retrieve the file in an unzipped format If not, I will need a few more days to work on the migration of our legacy code. Our C# code is processing the response in memory (no disk or DB), and will require a bit of work to migrate to the new release. I am trying to deploy a windows application built in .net framework 2.0. The pocket pc has windows mobile version 5.0. In my solution I have an installer in c#, the vb.net pocket pc application, Deployment CAB, deployment MSI. ( I obtained this code from the microsoft site) I build the projects and then build the solution, When I right click 'Install' on the 'deploymmentMSI' I go through the wizard and get a pop up message. Tone Southerland Critical MSN Bug which has been lingering for multiple versions
I've tried to make this bug known many times, but to no avail. Basically if i'm in a "Video Call", and someone sends me a weblink, and I click that link, my whole MSN freezes up. Now Firefox is my default browser, but even when I make IE 7 my default browser the whole application still freezes. Now this error is reproducible on the other person's PC which i'm having the conversation with. My webcam is a quickcam messenger. A google search while bring up other people who have the same bug, I just hope it gets exposure here. The only way to fix the issue it to "end the task". I can reproduce this problem as well. I am passing a struct to unmanaged code. One of the parameters contains a pointer that should point to a local variable to return some 16 bit data. I can do this in an "unsafe" context and it works as shown below. I hope someone can help me. I recently installed VS 2005, HP iPaq running Mobile 5.0, Activesync 4.2, and Windows Loopback Adapter. I can create a smart device application and deploy it on the 2003 emulator, but whenever I try to deploy the app onto my pocket pc it keeps returning an error stating: Description: "Connection to Device Failed" File: "Device Connectivity Component" I tried to connect to the device thru: Tools - Connect to Device - Windows CE 5.0 Device, but it returns an error stating: "Connection failed. Hi all, I am very new to Windows CE programming, and I would like to know how to create a new Smart Device Application that will basically have a browser window contained inside of a form. I'm not really sure what terminology I need to use to explain this better, but what I am trying to accomplish is a form exposing a browser window to use an internal web-based application. The idea is to "kiosk" the web page in a way that keeps users from being able to navigate outside of the application.
