  I greetings to all, threre is an effective way to validate XML in CF I tried to validate it using XmlReaderSettings but it is not effective. So someone knows how to validate an XML Greetings. If you copied it without any modifications (really you have to at least correct file paths), the output goes to console. Does your device have console If not, you won't see any output.   That's properties of files in VS project which are telling VS what to do with the file and when to do it. It's not device specific.   Javascript is like greek to me, and i really do not feel like learning it right now. But i need to put together a map. Does anyone know of a "making a microsoft live map easy" site or some kind of simulator for people like me who are stupid I'm really picky too, so it has to be flexible, but i'm kinda desperate right now. • Sideout Splashscreen with sound + background image

  Hi guys, Im looking to add a splash-screen to our project as the first form that appears when the application is launched. Ideally, it should play sound for the duration of the time the splash screen is up (about 3 seconds). Does anyone have any ideas on how I would do this Are there any embedded sounds that I could use on the PocketPC. Im doing this on a Dell Axim x51v and really new to C#. Thanks in advance. • Taylor4444 WinCE C# project: Menu occupies too much space

  I have a menu in my C# NETCF 2.0 application. There are only 2 menu items in the top row. If I put a label beside them it's invisible, blocked by the menu eventhough the area is free. The menu seems to occupy a standard area no matter how many top menu items there are in the menu. Is there any way of making a menu occupy only 30 % of the top row instead of 80 % (what it seems to be right now) On Windows CE platform the menu (if not empty) reduces the client area by the height of the menu. • GRK Trouble with Threading on Motorola Q Smartphone

  I'm having some trouble with threading on a Motorola Q Smartphone which runs WM5 as you know. I have a C# program that I've been running under XP quite successfully. When I recompile it (with a different UI of course) for the Q, the threads to not start. Here's a code snippet... _thread = new Thread(new ThreadStart(Receiver)); _thread.Start(); which is executed in the main thread and where Receiver is: private void Receiver() { ... } I have some debug output that dumps messages to a text box on the display.   I read somewhere about using a different icon for each pushpin, is this possible when importing a layer via xml What I am doing is this: I have a Filemaker DB that I am exporting scheduled jobs, unscheduled jobs into an xml file and styling it to geoRSS with an xsl file.   HelloI am trying to link a Windows application with a device application. Windows divice applications have a serial control so I though I could link them together using a virtual comm port. I created a port object in the device application and sent data to COM1.   Hello All... Im getting error code c00e000b on a pocket pc device when using visadm to start msmq after installing it. when I use the verify short cut I get a successfull reply but when I use the status short cut I get the c00e000b error code. I have seen many posting on the internet for this error but no solutions. I downloaded the msmq cab from the MS web site to make sure I have the latest version, but Im not sure it is the right version for my processor my device has a Intel(R) PXA270 processor and Im using the msmq.arm.CAB I did also try the start shortcut and it to returns an error I did not enable binary or srmp because I'm still just trying to get msmq install correctly as for the resigning ...Show All

  I'm looking at the feasibility of using MS Access on a Mobile 5 device. Using VS 2005 if I attempt to create a new data source I ca select an access database and the test connection works OK, however when I proceed I get an error "The new connection uses a data provider that is not supported" Theres no error number.   Hi there, academic.live.com is great for students like me Good Job but i see the following problems in it: -the survey is sad. its not and enjoyable survey. I had to unselect some of the answeres for some questions to continue. Not enjoyable at all ! -the search is slow and reloads after i visit a hit and return/come back. Can i have a preference somwhere which would allow me to open each hit in a new tab/window -i am lost in the the web of hits.
