  • cobain81 Can Command Prompt in Vista be in Full Screen Mode?

Hi to all most respectful software developers, Does anybody know that how to make the command prompt to be in full screen mode As i know previously in window xp, user only need to press ALT+ENTER. But in Vista Build RTM, it shows that "This system does not support fullscreen mode". Is there any alternative way to make the command prompt to be in full screen Thanks in advance Brian By far, we can not change the compability of "cmd.exe". Wish MS can make some improvements to hit your needs. Hi EDVE7 I know that using the Standard Graphics Adapter driver can support the Full Screen mode. But i never tried to install Graphics XP driver inside Vista OS. Does thi ...Show All

  • mingda Auditing / non-auditing IP ?

Hi all, I'm looking for some information about how to setup a CardSpace demonstration where the security token is not encrypted by the IP with the public key of the RP. I've read about auditing / non-auditing IP, which do or do not encrypt the security token for the RP, but I was wondering, is it only up to the IP to encrypt or not the token I mean, does the RP has a way to say "hey, don't encrypt the security token when you send it to me" For example, with some kind of tag on the web page in the <object> tag (like "requiredClaims") or in some XML config file Thanks, for a browser based scenario, if the .crd file for the managed card has the <RequiresAppliesTo> element se ...Show All

  • su45937 Activity Deletion event

I am looking for something in my rehosted designer that will notify me when an activity is removed from the workflow, then I can remove any bindings to to the deleted activity. I have my own root sequential activity, so I figured that I could just use the OnActivityChangeRemove method, but it is never firing - it doesn't on any of my composite activties either. I looked up the documentation and it doesn't appear to be implemented! Does anyone know how I can be notified when the an activity is deleted from my designer Jason - you can get the IComponentChangeService from the DesignerHost - and then subscribe to the ComponentRemoved event. ...Show All

  • herbfl Software submission legal document signing problem

Hello, I need to submit my software for the Works With Vista logo certification. However, I'm asked to sign some sort of a legal PDF form (which is fine by me). The only problem I'm facing is trying to sign the agreement. Any idea how I can go about doing this Thanks, Bobby. Yo, Guess what I was able to create a digital signature and using this I could sign the PDF document :-) Also got maill from Microsoft saying that they've also signed the master agreement. Submitted my software and got a submission ID. So does this mean my software has passed the Works with Vista logo certification I'm pretty confused. Thanks, Bobby. • dbdog DelayActivity - how long left?

I posted a reply in a previous post regarding getting information on delays here (http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/ShowPost.aspx PostID=795117&SiteID=1&mode=1) , but thought it'd be better as a seperate thread. I looked into Khalid's suggestion of using WorkflowPersistenceService.GetAllWorkflows() but wondered if there was a direct way of getting an instance. The only error I can see with this is that if you had say 250,000 workflows in the system you'd have to pull all that information back to find one timer state. Is there not a way of just getting the workflow information back for one WorkflowInstanceId Also, it only shows the next timer experation DateTime, what if there were a few timers in parallel states and you w ...Show All

  • dczraptor TC2 - Our application can open files created by other users but will deny saving them

Step 10 says: Attempt to open the file created by other user: The file cannot be opened and the logged on user must be prompted indicating so. Is it an acceptable behavior for TC2, if our application does allow to open files created by other users, but will deny any attempts to save changes for such a file That means that user won't be able to edit other users' files, although this will be forbidden not on file opening but on file saving operation. Or should we still need to change the behavior of our product not to allow to even open files that belong to other users Yes. It did answer the question. The current behavior of our application is correct and passes the test case 2 since we do not allow t ...Show All

  • Darren Tao Installation Directory Write Access Issue

Hi, I am a developer for a commercial program and we are working on a Vista-aware release of our product. It is a large install (6 CDs) abd is currently all put in Program Files under XP. The Microsoft suggestion of putting program executables and static data in Program Files and all other stuff in the appropriate users/... directory is not practical for our application. I have never liked that model. It makes things complex both for users and programmers. It is a road that we simply will not follow. The problem, of course, is that users don't have write access to the Program Files folder unless they explicitly and manually set it. We could require the users to do that but this is not a happy solution and we probably will not do that. W ...Show All

  • Kripz Microsoft Office Outlook 2003

I'm about one more crash away from reformatting my laptop and putting XP back on.... :o(((( I have Outlook 2003 installed on a Vista box and I have one user successfully installed and operating. However, for other users, Outlook 2003 freezes at the "Configuring Outlook Accounts" step the first time Outlook is run. The weird part is that one user works great but the other users have an issue. • smattessich Using wimgapi.dll with VB6 - WimApplyImage causes VB6 IDE to freeze?

I'm writing some code to use the wim imaging api wimgapi.dll with VB6. The code works 100% on capture, with the callback function correctly getting progress information and updating my form with progress bar etc. This works fine when run from within the IDE or from the compiled .exe. The apply image code is a problem though - the WimApplyImage code locks up the IDE part way through. When run from the compiled exe, I get no progress messages to the callback - I do get all the process messages though, and it actually works in that it correctly applies the image, but it stops updating my form until it exits the WIMApplyImage function. Anyone have any ideas I've tried registering the callback both immediately before the WimApplyIma ...Show All

  • Michael J. O. Newby questions

Hi, digging around with Vista we came (after a lot of success with WPF things) to the point where we think about the WEB. We run a lot of web apps (ASPX). Most of them use Forms Authentication and profiles. Our idea is now to have those site support InfoCard. Before running into a totaly wrong way we try to ask here if our idea is totally stupid or not. The idea: When a user tries to enter a protected area we normaly bring up the .NET 2.0 Login control. This is pretty automatic - the user enters username / PWD and is redirected to the page after login. At the same page we offer a link to register - also using the "normal ASPX features" (Username, Email, PWD, Secret Question.....). On most sites we do an email verif ...Show All

  • Dvorak Test Case 8. Fast User Switching support mandatory or not?

It is not very clear in test case 8 if the fast user switching support is mandatory or not. In the verification part it is written: "The application launched and is able to perform the operation without crashing by both users" And in the notes part : "If application does not support concurrent user sessions, it must pop-up a message indicating this to the User and write a message to the Windows NT Event Log in order to pass this test case." Displaying a popup message explaining the application does not run in concurrent user sessions is not the same as "being able to perform the operation". I do not want to support Fast User Switching, because instances need to communicate in order to work well (th ...Show All
