  There are a number of references in the documentation that suggest it should be possible to add additional filters, beyond those supplied by the printer driver's manufacturer, to the pipeline. Specifically, the latest Windows Driver Kit (build 5744) says this (on the topic of Filter Pipeline Configuration File): Vendor driver functionality should be primarily in R1 (print processing) and R3 (rendering). You should limit Administrator modification to R0, R2, and RE. The separate regions allow filters from several pipeline configuration files to be combined together in a deterministic way.   When I try to uninstall my CD it crashes when receiving the return value from the dll. This dll just checks whether mutex for that application exists or not. This happens only in Japanese-VISTA (Ultimate) OS + Japanese-Office2007 IME is installed. But when I uninstall Japanese-Office2007 IME my uninstallation was successful.   I have a case where my WaitForSingleObject is used by the root thread and Some other thread started by this root thread signals the Event object which WaitForSingleObject is waiting for. But the WaitForSingleObject seems always signaled regardles of the SetEvent function of the child thread. I have tried Manual or Auto Reset and the case is always the same and my Event is started as Non-signaled. Well sometime programming so dense is digging out my brain.   Hi DirectShow forum, I would like to use the sample grabber to get uncompressed PCM audio data out of my filter graph to play using other means (i.e. not a DirectShow renderer). The sample grabber "one shot" mode would be the ideal solution to this problem, becuase it would allow me to create a simple GetSample function which advances to the next sample and returns the data. Unfortunately, the "one shot" mode is completely broken (as anybody who has attempted to use it already knows...)   I'm working on modifying Marcus Perryman's TimedCameraCapture system for Windows Mobile: http://blogs.msdn.com/marcpe/archive/2006/05/23/604771.aspx. I need to be able to change the resolution of something being captured. All my research has told me that I need to use IAMStreamConfig to essentially enumerate the supported resolutions and then use SetFormat on them. However I have not been able to get this to work at all. After adding a Still Image Filter I then try and change the resolution and then call RenderStream. • Grahame Edwards Will Vista run a emulated "Virtual Drive"?

  Will Windows Vista run a emulated drive, "virtual drive", like the one I setup on Xp Pro with Roxio 8 and Alcohol 120% When I tried out vista RC1, the only way I could get a emulated drive to install on my computer was to "upgrade" from Xp to Vista with the drive already setup and installed. But when I did a fresh install of vista RC1, I could not make a emulated drive with either roxio 8 or alcohol120%.   Hi Everybody, I just saw many Web Casts about WWF and I'm wondering is it possible to start the first activity of a Workflow by a Windows Application then doing the second Activity by a Web Application. I think it is not possible in the case where both Windows and Web applications must share the Same Workflow instance. Mybe there is a possibility to do that by using a Web Service by instantiating the Workflow on it then pass the reference of the Workfow by a Web Method. Thanks For Help.   Is there something in particular that has to be done to enable this I've installed Avalon and the other pieces with it, updated my gfx driver the the latest version from nvidia, but I'm still getting the plain aero, and I don't see anywhere to enable aero glass. My system is far above the requirements needed for it: Athlon64x2 4400, GF7800GTX, 2GB RAM... You need LDDM drivers and a card that supports DirectX9.  The card you listed looks capable, but I am not sure if the beta driver from Nvida covers that model. @ Josh Phillips I think your information was a bit outdated. • ECE Digitizer pen is being picked up as a mouse

  I'm using the Tablet PC SDK v1.7 and having an issue distinguishing between the digitizer pen and the mouse when it comes to CursorDown events and the like. I have an external usb digitizer (Aiptek T-8000U) with the Hyper Pen Usb drivers. I have found several examples on how to distinguish between the two, including used the tablets collection, and checking the results of a call to GetMessageExtraInfo(), but both seem to imply that the pen is no different than the mouse.
