• Part Time Australian Publish as WebService Error: "The language specified is not supported by any of the installed packages."

  This is with the latest 3.0 RC and the RC5 VS2005 Extensions. Any ideas Thanks Webservices are published to developer server by default. You can publish this to IIS later. Just right click on the webservice and select Publish Website option. I was able to replicate this on my laptop as well.   I have been reading about Cardspace and testing the sample code and wanted to see if the standard could handle this use case Is it possible for our employee’s to authenticate into a website using a user id (employee number) and password and once authenticated the site would email them a card file (managed or personal) with their employee number embedded in it or would be supplied via the STS. The employee would import the card into their store and use the card for all future authentications and not need to type in their password again. I realize this is not strong authentication and would only use it for low level internal websites that did not require massive security. • Tryin2Bgood McAfee Enterprise 8 Framework service does not start

  Build 5219. Upgrade from XP SP2. McAfee was installed and running. The framework service does not start any more due to not enough rights. Since it is an AV program I have not used compatibility mode. It did run under the previous build beta 1. Product: McAfee VirusScan Enterprise -- Error 1920.Service McAfeeFramework (McAfeeFramework) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services. I am running as administrator. Any ideas.     Working AVs include Avast and AVG (free). • Pure Krome IE& wont work/locks up with build 5384

  I had to reinstall Vista. System is AMD Atlon 64 3500+, 2 gb memory, Vista 5384. It all loaded ok, but after loading IE will open, then I get a "not responding" message and it locks up. After scrounging through the registry and the net, it turns out the problem was the adobe flash and the adobe shockwave browser plugins were the problem.   Hi, I'm currently testing some of our 16-bit applications on the 32-bit Windows VISTA Business edition. One thing I've noticed is that the icons for the main executables do not display under VISTA.   Hi, I just encountered this really strange behaviour, which is definitely a bug in Vista. Consider the following situation. You're logged in as an administrator account. Start a CLI shell of your choice, start it normally, so that it's running non-elevated. Now consider a console application called install.exe. It's neither a GUI application, nor is it an installer application in the Windows sense. It's just called install.exe. In my case it's part of GNU coreutils and it's called install because it's usual task is to install software on the system. • Dmitry Pavlov unexpectedly flipped frames using null renderer

  I wonder if anyone else has experienced this curious frame flipping behaviour and might have a solution to offer... I'm rendering frames from a capture source (the integrated camera in a WM5 device), through a custom transform filter (derived from CTransformFilter), and finally out to the null renderer (i.e. the renderer you get by specifying NULL as the last parameter on RenderStream). The transform filter doesn't do anything to the video data at the moment - just copies everything through verbatim. I call IMediaControl->Run() to start the graph, and everything runs normally - frames are being displayed ok on the mobile screen (appearing the right way up, like a camera viewfinder). • ManOPT Digitizer pen is being picked up as a mouse

  I'm using the Tablet PC SDK v1.7 and having an issue distinguishing between the digitizer pen and the mouse when it comes to CursorDown events and the like. I have an external usb digitizer (Aiptek T-8000U) with the Hyper Pen Usb drivers. I have found several examples on how to distinguish between the two, including used the tablets collection, and checking the results of a call to GetMessageExtraInfo(), but both seem to imply that the pen is no different than the mouse.
