• Santal_Maluko cannot convert between unicode and non-unicode with SQL Server

  I keep getting the error message below when attempting to import a text file (flat file) to an SQL Server Destination using SSIS. This database has recently been migrated from SQL Server 2000 (where I used a DTS Package that worked fine). I plan on doing further manipulation to the file after importing but have so far tried to keep one step at a time. I have tried using a smaller files and different tables but still get a similar response. I believe that the encoding of the text file is ANSI. If it is relevant the database collation is Latin1_General_CI_AS (the same as it was when 2000). Any help anyone can provide will be greatly appreciated!!! • gafferuk problem with key encryption

  Hello, I am using report server sql express. The report was working until yesturday.Sudenly the report did'nt work and give an error : The report server cannot decrypt the symmetric key used to access sensitive or encrypted data in a report server database. You must either restore a backup key or delete all encrypted content and then restart the service. Check the documentation for more information. (rsReportServerDisabled) Get Online Help Bad Data. I delete the key and change the data source.Now it works fine! My problem is that this is not the first time that it happens!!! • vtortola Get report server functional is not very clear could someone explain the security requirements????

  We have reports server installed using the local system account when we try to access through web browrse we get and error that say that we need to go to the local system and view the event log. In the system event log there are lots of error that are complaining about dcom object not having permission and in the application log we are getting errors also I have tried to find some documentation that explains the set up requirements and have found lots of disconnect documents that do not give a good explanation of how to setup the accounts needed. I have been able to develop some very nice reports use BI studio but can seem to deploy them and we are unable to use report builder. Any help would be greatly apprecaited..   Hello, I got a report with a landscape format, and inside it i got some subreports, but two of them are subreports with matrixes. Those two subreports are making the page to be printed into 2 pages, but the second page is always empty, is there a bug, a misconfiguration or misusage of the subreport Because instead of having 42 pages i will have two times more.   Hi I'm a newbie to SQL server..... l'm building a website where companies can save important data. I have a SQL server available but I'm not sure how to store the data. Should I create a new database for every user or should I store everything in the same database and then use a UserId to recognize the data and the user The data stored for each user are stored in tables which are exactly the same so all tables could be gathered into one table and then a UserId could tell which records belong to whom.
