Nayan Paregi Deleted product information persisting
I am getting an error when attempting to add a new product: "A Product named 1234 already exists." I had added a product with the same properties before, along with discounts associated with the product. I then deleted the product and the discounts associated with it. The product can no longer be found in the catalog manager by searching or browsing. I've also looked through the productcatalog database, and found no entries for that product. The discounts have remained in the system and are visible in the Marketing Manager as Deleted Items. Gianni Marzaloni Feature Request: Searching for documents with more than one occurance of a word.
I use WDS to search through a large number of documents from our vendor. Right now I am looking for documents which contain a reference to a confidential data flag. The problem I am running into is that each document has a legal disclaimer which says "... herein is confidential ...". Hence, when I search for confidential I find all those documents and then have to search through each individual doc to find out if it the other reference is in it. Just to clarify I can't search for a specific phrase because confidential is by itself in a seperate table cell. I would like to input something that brings up results where confidential appears more than X. Is this currently possible or planned for a future release ...Show All

I believe I have found a rendering bug in IE7 that has not been reported. Pockey Upgrade MSN Toolbar + WDS to WDS 3.0?
As a home office user with XP SP2 I have installed MSN Toolbar with Windows Desktop Search, and now find that it is indispensible - most used for finding correspondence from AND to particular individuals or companies... but also useful for finding information buried in oddly-named PDF files that I downloaded once upon a time and filed away, lord knows where. Yoni_Nijs Windows desktop search - no results
I've just downloaded Windows Desktop Seach, and it has indexed around 51 000 items. I've checked all my settings several times, and all seems OK according to the Help Menu. But whenever I type in a Search word, I get a message saying Search Complete - no items found. At the beginning, I did not ever get a message saying installation of the programme was completed. And I wasn't asked to reboot. Do you think that it may be that the programme was not correctly installed (Web search works fine - get directed to Google Search, with results listed.) barkingdog IE7 Bug.
I has IE6 and the scripts of the programs that I had installed worked perfect. Now that I installed IE7 some programs behave different and some scripts show errors. Also now there are no icons for the web shortcuts. Some jpeg pictures now also have no icons. People from Microsoft please fix this, because it makes IE7 like a "starters" program and people will go to Firefox. Thank you so much for posting about the broken css rendering! Several weeks ago I must have asked what seemed like a billion people about that, naturally everyone I asked assumed it was my error, lots of try this and try that. F.Costa IE Font Rendering Inconsitency on Select Elements
I've noticed that there appears to be an inconsitency with how text is rendered in elements on IE7. I have a web page that is encoded in utf-8, and contains japanese code points. All text looks fine except text in select elements. In a select element the text is rendered as squares. I can fix the problem by explicitly selecting a font that contains these code points (e.g. MS Gothic) However, that doesn't seem to be required for any other element. So what gives Is this a bug If it is, is there any chance we'll see a fix Thanks. I have installed WDS 3.01 (a few times now) and it looks like it has installed correctly, but the number of files indexed always remains at zero. There are some errors in the application that appear to be relevant... Yogesh Kumar Trouble verifying services
I have followed all of the steps in the online installation guide, and restarted IIS. I have also verified that a folder was created for each web service (\Intepub\wwwroot\siteCatalogWebService; Intepub\wwwroot\siteMarketingWebService; Intepub\wwwroot\siteOrdersWebService; Intepub\wwwroot\siteProfilesWebService). Then the guide says to visit the web page for each service (point browser to http://localhost/siteCatalogWebService/CatalogWebService.asmx ). Chrisine WDS 3.0 w/ Outlook 2007 Beta - won't return results in cached mode, does when online.
Hi, I have been fighting WDS 3.0/Outlook 2007 for a good while now. I started with Outlook and BCM loaded, but have uninstalled BCM and re-installed Outlook alone with WDS 3.0. Everything seems fine, but my searches return no results. On a whim, the other day, I turned off "use Exchange in cached mode" and voila, WDS started returning results! This is repeatable. I turn on caching, WDS does not return results. I turn off caching, it does. I do not use a .pst file, but rather keep all my information on the Exchange Server. I wonder if it has something to do with either an Exchange Server setting, or something to do with my .ost (offline folder) file. adisciullo Does your WDS 3.0 index your deleted items in Outlook?
Hi all! I am having two weird problems with WDS 3.0, but here's the first one: It seems like WDS is properly indexing my Outlook PST. However, when searching for a file/e-mail, nothing from my Deleted Items folder pops up in the Results window. It's extremely strange. I tried rebuilding my index, first adding only ONE inbox subfolder to the list. It worked fine. (ie. 55 items indexed) Excellent. Now I just added my deleted items folder... 7,600 items indexed... Excellent. However, NONE of those items appear when I do a search. If I do a search for *, I only see the 55 items there! Not the other 7,600 in my Deleted Items. Hello, I have Xp pro with multi-language user interface for the dutch language(and other languages). What means that xp is basically english but everything else is in dutch (menu, help etc...) Now my problem started with IE7 install I wanted to install the dutch IE7 version but I got the error message that the language of the operating system is not supported by this download (IE7-windowsXp-x86-nld.exe) So I installed the english version that did work BUT now all my IE7 menu etc.. is in english now Is or will there be a MUI pack for IE7 that will change my menu' back to dutch If there will be a MUI pack when is the release date If allready available please send me the correct link. Here's the situation: I'm using WDS with an ASP.NET application. In order to make this work, I call the ExecuteQuery method inside a STA Thread. While debugging, everything works fine. When I deploy it, I get "Access Denied" in the ExecuteQuery method. I printed out the current user name in several moments of the code and I found out that before calling the thread, the user is IUSR_xxxxx. But inside the thread, the user is ASP.NET. I tried using impersonation in the web.config.
