Shadowsfury Windows Desktop Search - Network Drive
I am looking to use Windows Desktop Search v2.6.5 to index files in a mapped network drive. (G:\files) they are only word documents and I have about 20 workstations that I wish to index the same files. I am getting "locked file" errors when I try to open, edit then save a document. The document can only be "saved as." Is there a work around or are there specific changes that need to be made to desktop search Mark, We've investigated this problem further, but have been unable to replicate the issue. Dan Mikkelsen Document Complete event for multiple frames
Forgive a newbie-ish question. :) I find that with complicated multi-frame pages (e.g. www.cnn.com) I get a document complete event for every single frame. Most of these are ad frames of course. Is there a way to obtain the "real" URL of the site, i.e. www.cnn.com in this case, without having to deal with all the other frames Alternatively is there a status flag that identifies the final frame, or is it safe to assume that the last frame that I receive notification of is the "real" site frame I have also found that with both IE6 and IE7 I occasionally never receive a document complete event for the "real" frame, in other words I get a dozen or more ad-based frames and nothing else, and yet the site correctly ...Show All
SouLDragooN IE7 RC1 problem positioning pop-ups in pop-ups
Can anyone tell me if the following behavior is by design or an IE7RC1 bug: If I call window.createPopup() where 'window' is in itself a popup window, the position of the second popup is limited - it appears that it should at least overlap 50% with the first popup. I use this mechanism in IE6 to create context menu rollover.. Any insight is much appreciated.. Alexei_shk How to search the UserObject by a custom property
Hello, I have extended the UserObject with a custom property called 'PartnerId' (type of string). With Commerce Server Manager I enabled the Physical attribute 'indexed' in the DataSource section. In the Profile Definition Section I checked the 'searchable' option. I have been able to assign value to this field programmatically. This means the property is configured properly. With the customer and order manager I am also able to search the user by this PartnerId. When I try to get the user profile by partner id I keep getting errors. I previously had WDS 2.6.6 installed and working great with Office 2003. Have just upgraded to Office 2007, which requested WDS 3.0 installed, so I did. Since then, indexing/searching appears like it might be OK (it does seem to return results), however I often get an error with WindowsSearch (Windows Search System Tray) pop up when select something from the desktop reults popup. I can make force this to happen every time by running the WindowsSearch.exe with an Error signature AppName: windowssearch.exe AppVer: 6.0.5824.16387 ModName: windowssearch.exe ModVer: 6.0.5824.16387 Offset: 0000f490 I am running Windows XP SP2, IE7, Office 2007 Pro Plus. Doug 123 limit on number of files indexed?
What is the limit on the # of files indexed My count for # of items indexed (in wds v2.6.5) never exceeds about 11% of my actual file count. (164,832 indexed of 1,500,000 actual files) Yes, I'm selecting all file/drives to index against. Yes, I've rebuilt the index more than once. I'm guessing that for folks here thinking of indexing their entire business' file sets, be they on servers or local, the index has to scale well beyond anything I've seen so far, and yet... Hi everyone has anyone has this problem. i was using IE 7 Beta with no problems and then was asked to upgrade when the version came out. upon updating i have the customise your settings page (http://runonce.msn.com/runonce2.aspx) coming up with a blue background and nothing else. I have done everything that microsoft sent me but no joy. It means my Homepage will not come up until this has been set. but as i can not see it i can not set it up . i can just type my website in and then it seems ok its just i can not use the homepage setting even though my home page is set as before. Hi, I've had this error on 2 separate sites (CsharpSite and StarterSite). Am really struggling to resolve it. Looks like the AllowedStatusTable is expecting data but doesn't have any. Just ip graded IE7 Beta 2 to IE7 RC1 KNOW I'm unable to access any FTP location. i keep reciving Stie or URL not available, or cannon access this site bacause the content advisor can not find a rating for the site this is strange as content advisor is nit enabled, IE6 allowed me to access ftp and so did IE7 beta1 and beta2. What's up with IE7 RC1 Anybody!!! I am having the same problem after installing IE7 RC1... I can't access ftp sites even when using Windows Explorer. Content Advisor keeps telling me the page is not rated. Even when Content Advisor is Disabled. The only way I can get into FTP is via Firefox.
