• Vitalijus WDS causing dozens of dwwin.exe and drwtsn32.exe errors

  I have a problem that started recently that has me stumped. Nothing has changed on the system except for the installation of a logitech webcam and video vegas (which has SQL Server Desktop Engine as part of it).  Also, Software Distribution Service 2.0 apparently installed itself (See it in system restore). Basically the system will be running along, and all of a sudden it will start acting sluggishly and programs will not open. I uninstalled WDS about an hour ago and the problems appear to be gone. Occasionally on boot up I’ll get this error: Windows Logon UI encountered a problem and needed to close.   Hi How do I get WDS Beta 2 to index my network drive, I cannot see a check box anywhere in the network drives properties which allows me to index this drive, like I can do on my local drives. • John Hax Ranking Categories under the catalog root

  I'm having trouble getting Commerce Server to accept the ranks I assign to Categories that are children of the catalog root, ie the first category level..I have a hashtable that is keyed by Category Name and contains a rank as the value, and I want to update all categories in that hashtable to be the assigned rank. The code works fine for all Categories that are not the root, but the same code is failing if I try to rank the main catalog categories (specifically it's telling me it succeeded and all category ranks reset to 0).   I can't use HP Directors or Solution Center after install IE7. I installed fresh HP software and updates. But problem persist. When reinstall IE6 back, problem solved. who knows anyway or have ideas Please help me. Thank you, I tired the two work arounds that have posted around the internet as HP was CLUELESS how to fix the issue and MS says it's not their problem.   I am using javascript to change the source of an image. if I address the image by document. image_name .src=' new address '. IE7 reports an error saying. document. image_name is nul of not an object. If I address the omage by using image_name .src=' new address ' IE7 changes the address. I have had this problem in IE6 as well all elements would not accept having document added in front of them. I had to leave the document section off. But this is a problem as the page needs to work in all browse and other browse insist on having the document section appended to the front.   I am testing html/css in IE 7 rc1 and The following table is exibiting buggy(unexpected) behavior while in strict mode.   It  lays out correctly in ie quirks and firefox strict.  Despite the whole push for standards compliance on the web, there are still situations where I need to resort to full height liquid layouts using tables.  Within the standards, there is no way to achieve full height complex multipane layouts without resorting to liquid (scaleable) table layouts.  So, before I get flamed for using tables improperly and discriminating against the blind, please consider this a plea for help.  PLEASE!!!!!!   Show me what I am doing wrong that makes this simple html sample devia ...Show All

• Rhubarb OL 2007/Vista RTM Search not working

  If I enter a search query from within OL 2007 (using the all items) I don't get matches except my Exchange account. I have several other PSTs and Public folders. I have them all checked in options, set things to search all and also have unchecked the quick results. If I enter the same search in the search box of the File Explorer in Vista, I get all the matches. Ideas Using Vista Ultimate RTM. yes, they were checked in OL 2007.   Hi Sometimes I get "no items found" when I enter a word. However, if I leave out the last letter of the word, I get the correct result. This affects only some words, but I cannot see any pattern to this. I have seen several posts, but no resolution, on microsoft.public.msn.search with this same problem. It also occurs on machines with a German keyboard.   Installed WDS and Outlook 2007. Everything works fine. Uninstalled WDS. Installed it again from the Outlook 2007 prompt. WDS refuses to index. Essentially, the index dialog says that there are 2 items left to scan but it never completes. Instead, I get the following events in the Windows Event Log.   I'm developing BHO add-on for IE 7 and I need to have settings dialog for my app. I'm not sure what will be the best place to put button which will open the dialog. In IE 6 I would probably add button to the menu, but in IE 7 menu is hidden by default, so I don't want put my button there. Right now I can see only one place where I can put this button, it's "Tools" Dropdown button (on the right side of Tab control).
