• bk13 IE7 RC1 window.close() issue

  We have a web application that we are currently testing with IE7 RC1 in order to be ready for the release of IE7. We often open new browser windows using script (i.e. window.open()) but have found that whenever we attempt to close the child window using script (i.e. window.close()) we are prompted with the message "The webpage you are viewing is trying to close the tab. Do you want to close this tab " We do not have this issue with IE6 and have not yet been able to track down the reason for the issue in IE7 RC1. I understand that you cannot close a browser window through script that has not been opened with script. But in our case, we are opening the child window with script. • hunb IE 7 Prompt for Cookies

  Hello, I'm currently working on a website and having a problem when Cookies are set to Prompt in IE7. What the application is doing is they are on a page a cookie is set (once they click Allow) then they redirect to a survey on another site, they fill out the survey and then are redirected back to my site. The Cookie expiry date is set to DateTime.MaxValue and yet it does not exist after the redirect. My guess is that once you leave your original site all cookies are deleted related to that site if you have Cookies set to Prompt. • David Luu Outlook 2007 Beta 2 and EntryID Futures?

  there is also a problem when you try to install the WDS with the office 2007 during the installation at the end you get a error saying Access Denied and the installation fails. is microsoft aware of this problem James I was able to find that there was an error writting to the registry, however identifing which key had problems proved unsuccessful. I enabled verbose logging but I was unable to locate an Error: 5 message in the log file. Any suggestions I had another one which was .psd, odd as this is Adobe not MS but that fixed me right up and the update installed. Hope this helps!   Are CSF and OrderDiscount related or do they work together i.e. If CSF selects discounts then does OrderDiscount use this discounts only or OrderDiscount again fetches all discounts and evlaute them to apply Is there anyway where pipeline component before OrderDiscount selects the discounts to be applied and OrderDiscount only applies them Also, OrderDiscount documentation specifies about item_product* property.   Hi everyone! I'm trying to create simple browser buttons, but I'm not familiar to developing anything but web pages that's why I need your help.   I don't see it anymore, after i got the UpmProvider to run i get problems after problems with it. First I had to change the Account Status Type ti SITEITEM and then I had the problem that the field Last_Lockedout_date was not found. I realliced that quite a few more attributs were needed and that i have to insert them into my prfile schema as well as in the SQL Database. Because i got the loging process from the StarterSite i took the Profile mapping from there as well, uptated my prfoile catalog with that and mi Profiels Database. But now i get the errormessage: Failed to retrieve profile. The error occurs as soon as I want to read the UserId from CommerceContext.   Hi, I'm trying to update form Commerce Server 2002 to CS 2007. Now i think i'm pretty far but there are still some problems to solve. One is, that the CatalogWebService isn't available when I want to open ith with the CatalogManager. When i enter straightforward the link to the CatalogWebService.asmx in the Internet Explorer, the Site is loading correctly and shows my some information about the Web Service.   Hi all, We have an authentication applicaiton and the application is based on Weblogic Server 8.1. There are three pages/servlets involved in the login process: login.jsp, LoginServlet, and menu.jsp. If user inputs correct username/password and clicks the login button, the LoginServlet will verify user's profile and set some cookie into HTTP Response. Fianlly, the servlet will redirect the user to menu.jsp. Right now we are facing a weird phenomenon: based on one specific user, we can not login using IE, but can login using Firefox or Opera.   Is there a default setting I can change in IE7 that will stop the jumping when I try to scroll using a mouse wheel It's almost as bad as what I see when I'm connected remotely to another machine.   Hello. I noticed that after some Windows Update, IE6 (also 7), XP, asks to restart the computer after some plugin was sucessfully updated. The plugin is not in use at the moment when the webpage (that requires the plugin) is loaded. Do you know why And, most important, does anybody know a way how to avoid the restart Thank you.
