  • igor_22 Root Category Ranking Issue

Hello, I'm having an issue with the .GetRootCategory method call. Here's the situation. Before I call the .GetRootCategory I set a where clause and pass it along. The method doesn't return me any results. But when I don't include the where clause I get expected results. Here's what I did (The where clause is included): 1. The current catalog has ranks for all root categories. So I created a new category with no rank and boom that new category was returned. If I set a rank to that category; it is not returned anymore. I've traced the issue in the ctlg_FillCategoryDescendants sproc: Here's the code. IF @oid = -1 BEGIN if (@fVirtualCatalog <> 0) BEGIN -- Insert the Categorys first-level descendents in the #Desc_Oids ...Show All

  • Kosmo007 Vista Viruses - The Next Generation

Sometimes I just have to write because tonight I received a PHD in Vista Viruses. Yes, a new generation of viruses is  evolving and this was the meanest nastiest virus I’ve ever seen. Perhaps, not deliberately it crashes the system on boot. The virus is an emulated service with a driver attached to the file system as an alternate stream. If you can stay awake I learned an immense amount tonight and I think people will be interested in this one. I have a new Vista RTM Ultimate system with Avast Virus protect. I opened an “iffy” file from the net thinking that if it had a virus that virus detection would catch it. How wrong could I be My system instantly black screened and I saw system32:lzx32.sys wiz by which didn’t lo ...Show All

  • xbrady How to know when a tab is switched in IE7

Hi, i'm developing a toolbar to IE7 using the example in codeproject, using .net (c#). for each tab i get a new toolbar created, and i want to know whenever the tab is changed in IE. meaning, i need some kind of event, like a "tabchanged" event to register to. does anyone know about such an event is there anything similar that i can work with (SHDocVw or something) thanks Can't you use cablehead's code and just keep track if you are just refocusing on the same tag that is already focused so you know if the focus event represents a change of tabs or just the user focusing on another window *bump* isn't there such an event ...Show All

Thanks for this phenomenal post! It's my favorite post ever! You just have to set the maxlength property of your textbox to 500 ( By default is 32767), it will automaticly prevent the user to enter more caracters. You can use the TextLength property to know the length of the string in your textbox. Pretty easy to implement, No need of r ...Show All

  • Declan_ BeginNavigate2 change the url

Hey all, I'm trying to do a simple thing in .NET (C#). I'm trying to change the url that the browser goes to using the BeginNavigate2 event. My code looks like this: static void OnBeforeNavigate2(Object ob1, ref Object URL, ref Object Flags, ref Object TargetFrameName, ref Object PostData, ref Object Headers, ref bool Cancel) { Console . WriteLine( "In Before Navigate2" ); URL = "www.yahoo.com" ; Cancel = false ; } The event fires but the url the browser goes to is never 'www.yahoo.com'. This is code is a simple modification of the SDK sample for internet explorer interop. If I set Cancel to true, the navigation stops so I know the event is called. I can't figure out why ...Show All

Hello there. This is my game: Screens: Selecting a map, lets start on Easy Shooting stars in game, fun multiply backgrounds Lets see my score Download game: Galaxy war Official website (for more information) The game saves progress as you advance (the save is encrypted so forget cheating ;) There are multiply backgrounds and multiply ships. The design of the game is so good that the user can create ships himself. It takes about 2 second to add another level on the map, the information is kept in an array inside the program. • Nick...A Is MS trying to throw away menu bar?

In IE7, classic menu bar is disabled by default. In Office 2007, there is not menu bar at all. Also the traditional toolbar is gone. I can't find a way to create my own custom toolbar too. What's happening I know menu bar is very classic and not pretty, but it is one single place that I am 100% sure that I can get all the features from a program. I don't want to lose it. • twaltz IE 7 - scrolling jumps

Is there a default setting I can change in IE7 that will stop the jumping when I try to scroll using a mouse wheel It's almost as bad as what I see when I'm connected remotely to another machine. Thanks, R. Hill Well, I guess I won't be downloading the new release because I can't stand the scrolling either. Have you tried reinstalling your mouse software and see if that solves the problem Thanks for letting me know that it's still doing it. Same problem here and it is driving me looney too. I checked the control panel and set the scroll wheel to one line per click and this has had no change. Basically for me, one click equals 5 slow scrolls on the IE7 screen. I am not having this problem wi ...Show All

  • CoolTami who is DirectX 10 ??

i link DirectX 10 and windows XP sp3 download address plz Is it me or this topic had slowly became a dating agency ... Anyway, it's now really off-topic... Direct X 10 is for Windows Vista. Window XP service pack 3 is not out. If DX10 is too much bounded into Vista there probably want be any DX10 for XP. Backporting seem a bit away now... I don't know about the actual situation so it is just a conclusion, by me and I just read stuff. :) I saw some really cool stuff from nVidia at the Vista launch earlier today, or yesterday I mean. DX10 has new features that will be cool in gameplay but those cards cost around €500 and it is outside my budget. Not sure why but the guy seemed to favour Farcry as a ...Show All

  • Richard Berg MSFT wds v3.0b2 and xp/w2k indexing service - any dependancies? and more...

Hi, I have looked at the wds FAQ, the wds Wiki, and the MSDN doc's for XP indexing, but still don't know answers to the following: 1.) I am wondering if wds 3.0 relies on any of the built-in XP indexing service and that service's settings and registry entries Using a default XP sp2 install, I found the XP indexing service set to use a catalog 'stored' on a DVD-RW drive location (!) as per the key at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\ContentIndex\Catalogs\System The default catalog named 'system' was pointing to F:\System Volume Information even though my %SystemDrive% is C:\ Why I want to understand this better: wds3.0 added the behavior of needing to 'enable' indexing per drive or f ...Show All

  • Stretchcoder Commerce Server 2007 and Peer to Peer replication

Was wondering if there was any specific thought into accomodating peer to peer replication for commerce server 2007 db's. It appears that the transactions db has done away with identity fields but other cs db's still use them. I was wondering if there was a white paper or even better someone who has already implemented this. Is there anything specific to commerce server I should be aware of before attempting this or do I just need to follow the standard implementation of peer to peer replication Thanks in advance.... -- Sean I understand that suggestion as far as catalogs and campaigns are concerned, but what about transactions/inventory/profiles We do intend to use ...Show All

  • Trisha1802 Convert Money value to its Textual Representation

Code Competition I had answered a post Convert to letter format a number value and provided a response that went counter to the logic of the threads up to that point. The two code examples provided to the poster used enums. I posted with a title Enums make me E-Numb and provided a code sample that use no enumerations. One of the other poster's code sample was .Net but based on a previous process he had written in a non .Net language. He commented that he had run my sample and after 100K operations mine was four second faster. He requested that I add some features to the code and repost so he could retest. I accepted his request and that is what this is...a place to post the code away from the original post so it does not become an OTP fro ...Show All

  • xRuntime Working with the dot net 2.0 WebBrowser control

I had originally created a post here http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/ShowPost.aspx PostID=1027977&SiteID=1&mode=1 where I was trying to figure out some issues in dealing with this control, and using it as a "chat interface" related object. The items I was trying to figure out were related to disabling the internal IE menu stuff and using a context sensitive menu. I did receive one answer that I am exploring (thanks again Martin) but I am still having problems grasping why the most common of items, "copy and paste", are causing me so much grief. :) I admit... I am not an "html" person, although I do understand the generic concepts of simple html elements. I am sure that once I get into stepping i ...Show All
