Mike D12995 How to use the Site Term value as a key in Multilingual support
Anynone know how to use the Site Term value as a key into a localized resource string loaded from a Satellite Assembly (using the .NET's Framework ResourceManager class) Thanks! If you're looking for information about how to build the sattelite assembly, here are a couple of good MSDN resources: http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/sb6a8618.aspx http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/21a15yht.aspx As for using the ResourceManager, you'll just need to use some sort of naming convention to uniquely identify each site term value. <SiteTermName>_<SiteTermValue> should always be unique: ProfileContext ctxt = CommerceContext .Current.ProfileSystem; List < string > localizedDisplayNames = new L ...Show All
yosonu Help: Outlook 2007 & Search Companion - Disabling WDS
Greetings all, I am trying to figure out how I can use the old Search Companion in Outlook 2007 as opposed to being forced to use WDS (windows desktop search). Currently, I have gigabytes of email that stored in PST files on a server that is backed up reguarly. I have a persistently mapped drive that I use to keep those PST files handy in outlook, but since I am not always online, those gigabytes of email are not always indexed. I need to be able to use the old Search Companion to search my mail, but have not had any luck in finding out how to do it. At least in windows explorer, when WDS does not return any results, they have a link to search companion. In outlook 2007, if its not indexed and you have thousands of emails, you are prett ...Show All

If i continue my page gets displaye normally but then if i want to logon into the shop there comes this Exception again (of course when there is the Response.Redirect) and things get displayed wrongly. Now im setting up a new Staging Server with a complete new environment of Windows Server 2003 and SQL Server 2005. Solar9 CatalogSiteMap
Probably an easy question, but I've got a piece of code that worked fine in the StarterSite CTP, but isn't working with the final StarterSite. <asp:SiteMapDataSource runat="server" ID="RelativeSiteMapDataSource" StartFromCurrentNode="false" StartingNodeUrl="~/Browse.aspx Catalog=E-Store" SiteMapProvider="CatalogSiteMap" /> <asp:Menu runat="server" ID="FullCategoryNavigator" Orientation="Vertical" DataSourceID="RelativeSiteMapDataSource" MaximumDynamicDisplayLevels="0" StaticDisplayLevels="1" /> I'm using the same web.sitemap. On the CTP site, it would display every root category in the E-Store. On the final Sta ...Show All
TPECI IE7 FAVICONS or desktop icons NEED to separate discussion between IE shortcuts or Faviacons or desktop icons as folder links
I just installed Internet Explorer 7 today, which I guess is a.k.a. Windows Live . All of my fancy customized shortcuts on the desktop disappeared and each got replaced by the same generic windows icon. Right-clicking & changing the icons in properties no longer works. Also, when I create an internet shortcut while browsing, that creates a shortcut with that same generic icon (not even an explorer logo). Now my desktop is just one forest of identical icons. Anyone know how I can fix this I've wasted all day without success. The issue is not a "favicon," whatever that happens to be ... the problem is that when one install IE7 it hijacks all of the custom icons for URL/web s ...Show All
Volksman IE7 and issue with TrackPopupMenu(Win32) within ActiveX-control
Hello. I have a trouble with calling win32-function TrackPopupMenu from ActiveX in new Interner Explorer 7 (RC1 and all betas). The situation is: I have some ActiveX-control - "MyPopupMenu". This control is being used to show context popup menu. To do it, it used win32 function from winuser.h. There's an issue with one of them - TrackPopupMenu. Control has worked fine in IE6, but in IE7 it doesn't. When TrackPopupMenu is called in non-dialog window, nothing happens! There's no popup menu (it was constructed by calling CreatePopupMenu and InsertMenuItem previously). But popup menu still works fine in dialog windows (ones that created in script by window.showModalDialog). Can anybody help me THX. Hi guys ...Show All
Duque Vieira Motive SamrtBridge Error
I know this must be a common question on the forums, but I've installed Internet Explorer 7 on my home computer and I've been getting an error. Something along the lines of: "SmartBridge Alerts: MotiveSB.exe – Entry Point Not Found The procedure entry point GetProcessImageFileNameW could not be located in the dynamic link library PSAPI.DLL" ... this error pops up during startup, and in addition to this my DSL refuses to connect to the internet. I can tell because my MSN doesn't sign me in and opening IE7 results in a system freeze. Now I have followed the recommendation to rename the file all files named PSAPI.dll to PSAPIOLD.dll (except the ones found in the System32 file), and all it seems to do is remove the error; the i ...Show All

gabit7 MSJVM patch for DST?
Hi, We're currently in an XP (pre-SP2) environment and I'm trying to find any information about the MSJVM and the upcoming DST change... I was under the assumption that the MSJVM pulls the date-time information from the underlying Windows OS, thus a specific DST patch for the MSJVM is not needed. Is my assumption correct Do we only need to worry about applying the DST patch to Windows itself thanks! This is probably just me being ignorant, but didn't Microsoft stop developing the MS Java 5 years ago Yes they did. Unfortunately I'm supporting a mix of different Windows OS's and the question was brought up about the MSJVM and if there's any solid "wo ...Show All
Ravi Kanth Koppala Windows Vista Gaming Performance
I just read over on Neowin that gaming performance in Vista will be 10-15% slower in Vista. Can someone tell me whether or not this is true Thanks! - James Things run fine on my A64 3000+ / 6800GT /1GB DDR400.. the ONLY thing I can see causing a lower performance is the theory that Vista uses more memory than XP. 1GB is not enough to do high-perf gaming in Vista IMO because games take longer to load and stutter more often due to page-filing or something. I think memory is the only issue. As for the guy with a 85FPS difference - that is merely something wrong with the display driver... get WDDM drivers for the 7800GT and call it a day.. the slowdown is due to how vista processess ram and graphics. the only difference betwee ...Show All
Will George WDS 3 - RTW Final not indexing .xlsx file which have ODBC SQL Connection
Hello, Brandon recommended me posting this problem I noticed in the WDS 3 RTW. Basically the WDS 3 RTW, and (Beta 2) cant index the contents of Excell new format (.xlsx), if the excell contains a ODBC (SQL database) connection. The easy way to reproduce is to, create a new .xlsx file using Office 2007 B2TR, create a ODBC SQL connection to any database/table that you have access to. Save the file and wait for index, it will index the filename but never its content. With the WDS 2.6.5 this problem doenst happen. Regards, Marcus Dear Daniel, Thanks for looking into this problem, it has been very difficult not to be able to search within those files. I have emailed you the .xlsx file, Few comments: ...Show All
QuantumMischief Windows Desktop search
Is windows desktop search able to access and retireve previous saved versions of a word document This is a feature google desktop does under "cache" Will Vista incorporate this feature It should. It is the only reason I have google desktop, which seems to slow my computer down. The advantage to having it is if you happen to delete something on a document and then click save you can retrieve the information you deleted quickly, rather than buying and running an expensive recover and restore data program. I lost data recently this way, deleting much more than I realized. Thanks, Gino azur, Windows Desktop Search does not currently offer this feature. I ...Show All
