  Greetings, I am using DSOFile obj to save/retrieve custom file property (MyCustomProperty) information to PDF files (Works Great!) I’d like to now include the MyCustomProperty to MS Index Service Catalog… I changed the following reg setting as follows… [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\ContentIndex\Catalogs\MyIndex\Properties] "B725F130-47EF-101A-A5F1-02608C9EEBAB MyCustomProperty"="31,128,1,1" Then Stopped MIS and deleted the catalog files and restarted MIS… When you view the property list from MMC the MyCustomPropery doesn’t show up… Is this not possible I thought MIS was able to accept Custom Properties… What am I doing wrong ...Show All

• pronerd IE 7 and Framsets

  I am using a simple standard framset, in IE 7 the target is all off, opening each page into a new window instead of the proper frame. Is there a solution for this, I have refrences to it being an issue caused with tabing but have not yet seen a solution.   What would the pattern be that I need to use in network monitor to capture port 443 I hope I can send an alert when ever network monitor matches the criteria that I specify in the pattern.   Is there a good way to calculate how many man hours it would take to add about 1000 lines of code to a Visual Studio MFC program This would include a dialog or two and a class. My way of calculating is to guess that it would take x hours and then multiply those hours by 4. I know. Just keep the jokes to a minimum.   I cannot create a catalog for either the CSharp or StarterSite from the CS Catalog Manager on my development server. In Tasks there is no option to create a new catalog and the menu item under File..New is grayed out even though the connection was opened successfully Here's what I did (e.g. for Catalog Service-did same for Orders,Marketing and Profiles). • GS80 Is MS trying to throw away menu bar?

  In IE7, classic menu bar is disabled by default. In Office 2007, there is not menu bar at all. Also the traditional toolbar is gone. I can't find a way to create my own custom toolbar too. What's happening I know menu bar is very classic and not pretty, but it is one single place that I am 100% sure that I can get all the features from a program. I don't want to lose it. • GKW82 Customizing Toolbar in IE7

  I am having a small problem. I have TWO search boxes on my browser.. One for Google toolbar, and the one that was originally there on IE7... I set my default to google. I cannot find how to get rid of the original search bar (to the right of the address bar) and just keep the google toolbar search box.. There is no option that I can find to just have the top row be an address bar..Any suggestions.. I cant even tell google toolbar to take away its search box, it is automatic.. • Jive Dadson WDS causing dozens of dwwin.exe and drwtsn32.exe errors

  I have a problem that started recently that has me stumped. Nothing has changed on the system except for the installation of a logitech webcam and video vegas (which has SQL Server Desktop Engine as part of it).  Also, Software Distribution Service 2.0 apparently installed itself (See it in system restore). Basically the system will be running along, and all of a sudden it will start acting sluggishly and programs will not open. I uninstalled WDS about an hour ago and the problems appear to be gone. Occasionally on boot up I’ll get this error: Windows Logon UI encountered a problem and needed to close. • EWoodruff WDS 3.0 Beta 2 desktop search leaving shadow

  I have had a couple of occasions where I use the Search Desktop box on my (top of screen) taskbar to search for an item. When I click More... for Communication (I am using Outlook 2007 B2TR) I see the pop-up search window blink a few times covering the full search window. When I click X to close it, the shadow stays on the screen and I must logout to remove it.  NOTE: I can get the pop-up window to blink twice before closing every time just by clicking in the Search Desktop box then clicking on the X, however this does not cause the shadow to stay behind.   While it has happened more than once (and I rarely use the Desktop search, normally I use the Outlook one), I can not reproduce it consistently.   I have written to MS without receiving a simple, non-MIS/IT description of how to remove this horribly intrusive add-on, that installed itself DESPITE clicking on DO NOT INSTALL.   Hi, Can anyone provide the definitions for the columns that are available in WDS 2.6.5 The SDK still indicates that the column definitions are changing and the only definitions I can find are those in the sample program. The definitions that are in there are insufficient for what I need to do.
