Hi all, Do you think that Windows Vista can be used as Server instead of Windows Server 2003 tell me pls I looking to change my Server OS... What does the "WoW" stands for .............. Thanks in Advance Server OSs usually have different tuning in terms of resource allocation than do the standard products and in addition they have much tighter security and better utilities. I think there's a Vista version of a server OS coming out soon. It would be better to wait. Hi, Strange, I had similar probles wile I was updating the develompent maschine from CS 2002 to 2007. Now im setting up a new Staging Server with a complete new environment of Windows Server 2003 and SQL Server 2005. I did the installation exactly the same way as the update and I followed through the Online Installation Guide. After I finished everything I tried to Check the Web Services over the Internet explorer but there I get everywhere the same error: "The page cannot be found". I double checked my installation and it looks ok: - Virtual Folders are set to .Net 2.0 - Users and rights are correct - I even tried Aspnet_regiis.exe with users like administrator, CatalogWebSrvc Nothing of that helped so what else can ...Show All
gafferuk IE7/Vista - WebBrowser control embedded in toolbar's dialog opening new window.
In a dialog box for a toolbar's UI (a preference dialog) I have an embedded WebBrowser control which displays a local URL. In IE7 on XP SP2 everything is beautiful. When running IE on Vista RC2 with protected mode on, navigating the WebBrowser control causes a new IE window to open, with protected mode off, which then navigates to the correct local URL. With protected mode off in the first place, everything works as expected (meaning the control navigates and doesn't open a new window). I'm at a bit of a loss how to correct this. chandrala 64-bit CS 2007 - Custom Pipelines - Registration/Deployment Process
Can someone help me out with the steps to deploy aa 64-bit version of custom pipelines from 32-bit VS 2005. Building the project in ".NET" allows for the framework loader to automatically build to the proper framework installed. But our custom pipelines do not appear to be registered because they appear as broken legs when viewed via the Pipeline Editor. I have found no links discussing this issue so any help is much appreciated! Try and test something you may have already done so. What happens if you create a brand new pipeline file (empty.pcf) then add one of your component, and save it. I'm not sure if this was something peculiar to my page, or if it is a widely known thing, but I thought I would post it here on the off chance that it might help someone. If you have a <form> tag somewhere on the page other than right below the <body> tag, IE 7 may insert an extra line break before the <form> tag. carllgrant Uninstalling Windows Desktop Search
I'd like to uninstall my windows desktop search but can't find it in the add/remove programs. How can I uninstall it I have a similar problem. I found the $NtUninstallKB11993$ and $NtUninstallKB11993-V2$ folders in my c:\windows folder. However, I'm not sure what to do next. I tried running spuninst.exe in both folders, but get "The update could not be removed because newer updates are installed. Please remove the newer updates first." Hi, When I am installing Microsoft Commerce Server Adapters for Microsoft BizTalk Server, I am getting following error. "There is a problem with this windows installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor. I would like to write a link bar (the toolbar that holds favorites) with the same functionality as the link bar of IE7, except than I can have just icons for the links (no text). Hey All, I have a persistent problem that i can't seem to shake off and am hoping someone has a solution. I've tried setting up Commerce Server 2007 on a Windows Server 2003 machine in the office and i've been using the Installation Guide that came with the setup files from the Microsoft website and it has failed on both occassions that i've tried it. I don't understand why it's failing because i've followed the steps closely. I've tried unpacking the CSharpSite that came with the installation and as i open up the CatalogManager it tells me "The catalog web service is currently unavailable. It started for me after installing IE 7.I had thought I had removed all of my Norton anti-virus files. I learned from someone at Microsoft this isn't always the case. Hi, this is just a heads up for anyone that's experimenting with Vista (RTM inc. I have this from MSDN). I just reinstalled Vista back over my existing install (because I installed MCE2005 to another partition after installing Vista and had to get my boot menu back), and although it warned me that it was going to stick my existing Vista install in windows.old it neglected to tell me that it deletes everything in c:\Users before it recreates it!! A few TV shows and some painstakingly touched up photos were lost - luckily I still have the Kodak CDs. CalinMac additional PST files indexing in outlook 2007(12.0.4518.1014)
Hi, Indexing seem to work fine in my exchange mailbox, but if I move an item to a PST files that is visible and open by outlook even after "index now" the moved item that is currently located in a PST is disappearing from the index. Is there a seeting that I need to change WDS version is 03.00.5824.280 Thanks George This should be working fine, as long as the PST is loaded into Outlook and you've given it time to index. You can see the mail stores that WDS is searching by going to the Indexing Options control panel, selecting modify, and expanding the Outlook scope.
