• Software Development for Windows Vista Need XPS help anyone!

  For the last few days I have been reading everything I can about XPS and merging documents and I am stuck. I have seen the Document merger sample but it really doesn't help especially with all the windows stuff wrapped around it I am just seeking a simple straight forward sample on how to do this. I found this and tried to modify it every way I can but the problem is that the original page for example is in Landscape mode but every time I save it as a new page it put it to portrait mode even though the width and height of the fixed page are correct and the new page variables are correct also.   How to debug FxCop custom rules in VS2005 To run FxCopCmd you'll need to run it from the command prompt. You can launch a command prompt by going to start->All Programs->Accessories->Command Prompt. (You can also type "cmd" in the run window). Once there you'll need to navigate to its directory and run it from within the command prompt. VS2005 uses FxCopCmd.exe not the standalone FxCop.exe which is why you are not seeing FxCop.exe in that folder. -Todd King PS. • SQL Server Losing dimension permissions in security role with deployment wizard

  I'm working with an AS database that has security roles configured with dimension and dimension data permissions. If I deploy my BI project using Deployment Wizard with the option to Retain roles and members, the roles and members do remain intact but the cube access in the roles is set to None and the dimension and data dimension permissions are gone. Is there any way to use Deployment Wizard so that it retains the roles, members and the cube/dimension permissions defined for the role I don't want to deploy roles and retain members because my roles will be different depending on the target server.   Hello, just tried to create a new filemapping, and i did everything like the examlpe in the msdn-library but it just dont work: althougt I am sure the file is created, because the Function "createFileMapping" returns a handle I can work with afterwards, the function "OpenFileMapping" always returns zero. And the Err-Function returns "2", that means "ERROR_FILE_NOT_FOUND" The problem is, that I have to open the filemappingobject fram another program, the "openFileMapping" function is therefore necessary.   Hi, I've keep getting this error when I'm trying to create a new Team Project. It says "TF26173: Team Foundation could not connect to the application tier", but that's strange 'cause my TFS is a one-server installation. I've recently installed SP1.   I've got a multithreaded app that I'm working on. The code below is the shell of it. "DoABunchOfWork" is a function that needs to go out and get info from any number of SOAP webservices(this code is stripped for simplicity). I need to create an instance of an object that actually does the communication and run a method on the object. That code is easy as well. The problem that I'm having is with making each of those methods execute asynchronously. I have a race condition where it appears that System.Threading.WaitHandle.WaitAll() is returning before all of the callback finish, thus causing my return value to skew. The execution of WF2 should begin only when the execution of WF1 on machine1 has completed its execution.   Hi there, I did upgrade of my VSTS server from Beta3 refresh to RTM. After upgrade I don't see my existing projects in list to add from 'Add Existing Projects' from Team Explorer.
