• Windows Search Technologies WDS 3.0 Beta 2 Desktop Search Box crash

  So I tried to turn off the Go button in the UI, and it promptly crashed and vanished. I haven't logged off and on to see if it will come back, but I don't see it listed in my Toolbars menu as something I can restart. There certainly needs to be someplace I can show/hide the search box besides the search box itself. There should be a control panel applet or something for all the search deskbar options. I would swear that wasn't there before , but maybe that was when I was having trouble with WDS Beta 1 versus Beta 2 (the filenames being the same, I installed an older version at first). • Smart Device Development Reflection and Invoking a method dynamically

  Hi All, I'm trying to build a factory (like) object, I'm going to have a directory with the different assemblies (each one begin a process that can be peformed by the application but all havng the same interface). I've done this before using reflection (to generate the objects and invoke the methods) on the full version of the framework. Is it possible to do it this on the on v2 of the compact framework. I've tried it but keep getting and exception. If it is not possible using reflection, is there anyway I could do this. Thanks in Advance.   Dear all, I appologise that incarnations of this topic have been posted several times on this forum, however I cannot find a scenario that is the same as my own so I've resorted to starting a new thread. I can successfully create and connect remotely to an HTTP EndPoint on my Windows 2003 machine using Integrated security, the administrator username and password via my static IP address. I have read that Windows XP SP2 supports HTTP EndPoints, and it would be much more convenient for me to be able to create EndPoints in XP, and connect remotely. I have created the endpoint like so...   I have a table partitioned by month. There are no primary key. There is another table with the same structure that I use to load data for the current month. I can perform partition switch with no problem. I created non unique index on integer field in both tables. After this change partition switch does not work anymore.   Hi.. i have just migrate my sql server 7 database to sql server 2005. but i have follwing problem.. " user access the database rather slow it takes 2-3 minutes to appears, even when click command button "save"or "confirm" they are also takes 2-3 minutes to show confirmation button. They are compiled to a special repository folder and dynamicaly resolved by our AssemblyLoader to start the workflow.   Hi, after many hours spent in searching for a sound driver for my HP Pavilion ZD8000, with a Conexant ac-97 chip, i found the solution actually inside the Windows Vista x64. You should try this: Goto Addhardware, pick there the Sound.... and then "Let me pick from all drivers", than select View all drivers, and under AMD, there is a AMD AC 97 audio driver. Install this driver, and your sound should work ok, except for the microphone, which is a known problem with Vista x64. Anyway, at the end, I installed the x86 Version of Vista. Microsoft and the other companies aren't ready yet, to play with x64 bit. We have to wait like about 6-7 months, and then maybe I'll reinstall the x64bit Version.   Hey, I am having issues getting work items published through Project. I have installed Visual Studio 2005 SP1, the TFS machine is not running SP1 yet. In addition to that I have Office 2003 and 2007 installed side-by-side. I am now trying to get a project plan published in TFS. All I am getting in both Project 2003 and 2007 is "Cannot Complete the operation". "An unexpected error occurred". • Windows Forms PrintDocument Spooling problem

  Hi, We have a sony photo printer which doesn't like more then one image spooled before the last one has finish printing. I notice when I develope my test application for printing. When i go printdocument.print() it sends all images to the printer in one go. Our printer has very low memory I think it rejects excess images if it cant hold it, hence the extra images dont get printed. However if I use Photo Printing Wizard in XP, it prints it out fine. Monitoring the print queue i notice the wizard send one image at a time, wait for the printing to start then send the next image. • Visual Studio uninstall problems

  I have Visual studio 2005 professional and express editions installed on my computer. I would like to uninstall the express editions. When I try to uninstall them, I get an error message saying "Setup is unable to determine a valid ordering for the uninstallation. See the error log for further details." I don't know where the error log is or else I would post it here. Also, I get frequent errors with professional edition. Should I install SP1 or uninstall professional, and reinstall fresh then install sp1. A lot of these issues came up when I uninstalled VS 6 while VS 2005 was installed.
