• .NET Development HELP!! "This row already belongs to another table" ERROR!!

  Hi everyone! I have a sticky issue... I am not getting an error when the following code is executed as a normal dll (not even registered in the GAC). But when I inherit the service component and have it registed as a COM+ service it throws the "This row already belongs to another table". Have been frustrated with all kinds attempt to find out the reason. Please help!! • Visual C# [newbie] Thread.Sleep and Button's color change

  Hello! I've got the problem: I want to change BackColor of Button only for few seconds. I try do it: button.BackColor = Color.Red; Thread.Sleep(1000); And effect is that program wait 1 sec. and then change the color of button. I don't understand it. I thought that Color should be changed first and then program should wait 1 sec. Yes, that has happened to me as well, and it may be because .NET runs lines of code at the same time... Maybe adding Application.DoEvents() above the Thread.Sleep(1000) would make it work (wild guess).. ...Show All

• SQL Server Difficult T-SQL query (for me anyways)

  Hi. I am developing for a system that receives an input from an external modem. The Transaction is split into 2 sections, Section 1 = grants the transaction ID, Section 2 = deliver the transaction Data. I have 2 corresponding tables, One called tblremoteunitrequestID (Where the transaction ID is granted) The other called tblremoteunitrequests (Where the transaction is completed, about 1 second later) I am writing a diagnostic report that determines if the first part of the transaction completes but the second part fails. • Software Development for Windows Vista Scripts on localized Windows

  Looks like Install-certificates.vbs and Install-website.vbs installation scripts do not work on localized Windows. Will do. Heh-heh. It is actually funny, in a twisted kindof way. The evolution of those scripts to install the samples came as a result of sooooooo many people having problems setting up simple little examples. I never intended for them to get so expansive, but setting up these darn samples to run in a variety of sites and configurations was tricky. I wouldn't normally have been concerned with that particular problem, but I see how it would make nothing but trouble elsewise.   Can anybody tell me if I'm doing this right or if I'm missing some thing... I have written a method that creates a vertex buffer object and populates it with 2 polys that make a 2D plane. But when I render this vertex buffer using a BasicEffect object to handle the rendering my vertex buffer object is rendered but the texture is clearly being clamped. I have checked the texture sampler states and vertex sampler states and they both say they are set to Wrap by default.   Hello. Sorry to be that rookie, but I cannot figure out how to handle with MSBuild property values. Indeed, I'd like to define a property the value of which depends on sub-strings of other properties . Let's say that I have introduced a property named ' ActualRootOutputPath ', which I want to set according to the property ' ProjectPath ', which is already defined.   I'm trying to implement a editable text box type of thing, and I'm having a little trouble with keyboard input. The best choice for something like this would be handling keyboard events and adding characters that way, but from what I've seen there is currently no way to handle those events in an XNA project.   Having successfully developed a C#-usercontrol "VSSBrowser" using VSS OLE Automation, I was sad to see that it's impossible to invoke "Show Differences", "View/Edit" and "Properties" dialogs via OLE. And that's the last thing left to get a fully functional control. I googled a bit and found out that "Microsoft SourceSafe SCC Provider" (SSSCC.DLL) should be used to invoke those dialogs.
