  I have deleted a maintenance plan it appears that the job for that maintence plan has been left behind. When I attempt to delete the job I get the below message. • Game Technologies: DirectX, XNA, XACT, etc. Coordinate system and matrix inconsitencies

  I still don't understand the intent of not using DirectX's left handed coordinate system. I thought it made sence at first, since OpenGL uses a right handed coordinate system.It would open up for easier porting of OpenGL code and interop integration with OpenGL libraries. Now I would prefer to have things the same way as DirectX so that I can easily use libraries and code from DirectX, but that's me. I can still say that all is good and a right handed system is just fine. But then I notice that matrices in XNA use row major representation, just like DirectX and not like OpenGL's column major matrices.   In SQL2005 with the option ROW_OVERFLOW_DATA the restriction of 8KB by row relaxed for tables that contain varchar, nvarchar, varbinary, sql_variant, or CLR user-defined type columns. In this case SQL Server use as best the page size, however I wonder what happen when this option is turned off. For example, If a row size is of 3 KB and I have ROW_OVERFLOW_DATA OFF how SQL Server store my rows there are about 2 KB of wasted space by page There is no such thing called ROW_OVERFLOW_DATA option. • Audio and Video Development Looking for Example of Sliding Control Panel

  I'm trying to get a working sample where the control panel (panel of menu buttons) slides up and down from the bottom at any time (on selection). Similar to what was shown in the demo at the CES.   here is the problem. i got a dlink 524 router and now i cant use remote desktop. i tried all the ports and got nothing. im using my laptop at a school network and want to connect to my home network, how do i do that with the 524 router. what ports do i open to and how do i get the ip address to connect too You will need to have a look at the firewall posts at both ends as well as your machine. • Smart Device Development GPRS Issue on Windows CE Based device

  Hi, We are working on an application that is designed to periodically download data updates from the server. The app works on Symbol MC9000 series devices which are customised PocketPC based devices and run Windows CE and Compact Framework 1. What we are experiencing is that we start to get Timeout Exception when calling WebServices over GPRS about 48 hours after initial connection. This continues until we reset the device. We are using OpenNetCF classes to call webservices and I think it's pretty standard code there. Our initial thought was that if we disconnect and reconnect GPRS connection that would perhaps "free up some of the resources" but this doesn't really seem to work.   Think this is the best place to ask, apologies if not. I've been interested in XNA for a couple of months now, plan on starting to learn to code myself pretty soon, before signing up for the Creators Club subsciption I just wanted to check if there is much on there to download at present or if I'd be better off joining in a couple of months time.   Hey , I just started using XNA Game Studio Express . When I load the Spacewar Starter Kit and press start to test the game there is only Xbox 360 functions , Is there any way I can play this using my PC keyboard or send this to my Xbox 360 .   Im currently programming a C# 2d Game Engine in Managed DirectX and I am having some problems with how to do timing. Ok for now I have a class set up for timing (copied from mdxutil.cs) which gives very accurate time. Now my problem is how to use this time. First I have a class called Sprite, with a method Update(double absoluteTime) and each frame I call this method and pass the current time from the timer. Now lets say I want to move the sprite (according to its velocity) 5 times per second, and I want to update the sprites animation every 2 times a second. How would I use the timer to accomplish this. • Visual Basic Really funky combobox databinding problem...help!

  Ok, I'm really stumped. I have a form that is bound to BindingSource1, which through it's table adapter references a table of records. Two of the columns in that table are type and typeID. typeID is a foreign key into another table that basically lists all possible types. So I have a combobox on this form that I would like to populate with all possible types and bind the SelectedValue to BindingSource1 - typeID. I set up everything in the VS2005 designer to populate the list and bind the Selected Value. I run the app and open the form and everything seems to work fine, the combobox is populated and the proper item is selected according to the typeID that it is bound to. • Internet Explorer Development HTA won't respond as expected to onbeforeunload event

  I want to prevent the user from accidentally exiting an HTA. When any attempt to close the application is made (such as clicking on the close button), a dialog should appear asking the user to confirm the exit. If the user clicks OK, the application closes; if the user clicks Cancel, the application remains open. I wanted to do this using the onbeforeunload event, and wrote the following HTA as a test. But the app always closes whether the user clicks OK or Cancel. When I rename the file from Test.hta to Test.htm and run it in IE (and allowing blocked content), the file operates as intended and allows the user to cancel the exit.
