Visual C# Licensed .net controls running in unmanaged code - NOT SOLVED
Hello, I am having some difficulties deploying a managed .NET dll that references a licensed component. The dll uses COM interop and is used and created by a COM application via late-binding. The component requires the license to be compiled with the resources of the application. Unfortunately I'm not able to recompile this application to include the license. Is there any way I can add .NET component licenses via run-time of a COM application Or does anyone have any solution to a problem similar to mine For COM, we could add the license to the applications license collection though I don't think this would work for a .NET component. Thanks in advance! Hello again, Here's some more information to help solve this problem ...Show All

Visual C++ error LNK2005 on static class variable
Hi again, I am getting this linker error below and could not quite figure out why. SQL Server Looking for a good Data migration solution
Hi, I am trying to create a process that will take data source that has been output from a proprietary ISAM database to import into a SQL database. This particular ISAM system cannot be accessed via OleDB or ODBC. The thing is I want the process to be able to create the required tables based on data structure information that has been somehow encoded into the data source. Currently the solution I am going with is to spit out a CSV file that has a header with table and data format information followed by rows of actual data that gets parsed by a SQL script however I am sure that Microsoft must have some kind of preferred solution to this kind of problem but I have not been able to find it. I have looked at the the tools that are available ...Show All

Windows Forms Public Terrarium Server?

There was one other person who had set up a public server (some time ago), but I was unable to find their post about it and I couldn't find their server using Google either. Visual Studio My view on views, Repositories, Multi-user acces etc.
Hi all, Sorry for the long message, this probably is better suited for a blog, but I don't have one (yet). In various threads issues have been mentioned that deal with handling large models. For example in In Multi-User Capability there is a question on multi-user capabilities, and in Collaborating on models a solution is proposed. In How to make Multiple Views a request for supporting multiple views has been done. In Question on roadmap to DSL features a repository feature is requested. We have been working with the DSL toolkit since November 2005. The first DSL's are now ready for production, several others are under development. Based on our experience with developing these DSL's, I would like to give some feedback on th ...Show All
