  Hi all, I'm very confused right now. I made an application that grabs the contact list of MSN Messenger and imports it into an address book. This works fine untill I remove Windows Messenger for the system. I've clients that use MSN Messenger without Windows Messenger and the tool doesn't work for them. • SQL Server Deployment of analysis services on windows 2003(Very urgent Please)

  I have window 2000 as my development machine. I am using visual studio 2003 and sql server 2000. I was able to develop a web application which uses the pivot table componant. Every thing was working fine with out any problem. I deployed my Project to windows 2003. I am able to see the pivot table control. I am not able to get any data into my pivot table. I am not sure what is going wrong. Is there anything I need to take care in windows 2003 specifically. I don't have microsoft office on windows 2003. Does it make a difference Please help!!! • Visual Studio 2008 (Pre-release) Problem adding Web references to a VS2005 solution

  I have tired adding MS Live Search web reference to a vs2005 project. Once I enter the url and, after services discovery, i click add web reference... The web reference is added but I also get the error: Error 1 Custom tool error: Unable to import WebService/Schema. Value does not fall within the expected range.   hi, I have an application where there is one document and 4 views, all 4 small windows simultanously updated(4 child windows floating in the main window.) • Windows Forms Help requested with printing images.....please

  I should point out that I am not a programmer, I dabble from time to time and consequently forget how to do anything in between each time.... Any ways here's the rub I have 6 images called PicImage1, PicImage2 etc etc they are being displayed in in two rows in picboxes on the form. A user might want to print some of the images (up to all 6 in one page) I have also created 6 checkboxes on the form chkprint1, chkprint2 etc. If a user decides they want to print image 1, 3 and 5 they will tick the relevant boxes then they will click on the Print button that I have also put on the form.   How do i display an image in it's real pixelsize If you just add an image in xaml it will be resized to the image's DPI / the screen's DPI or something like that. The best would be if there's some kind of global property so no images in my app will be resized, but a simple property for the Image will also work fine. If that works for your purposes then go with it, but keep in mind that this approach breaks down if the screen DPI is anything other than 96, which is the default but increasingly more systems will be sold that run at 120 or 144dpi. You can test the result yourself by changing your system to a higher DPI setting and rebooting. ...Show All

  When I use the following code to execute a RAISERROR from within a CLR Routine (Stored Procedure), and I call this CLR stored procedure from T-SQL within a TRY/CATCH block, the error is not caught in the CATCH block.   I'm using Direct3D 9 to draw an layered interface with extensive alpha blending. To draw antialiased lines I use the ID3DXLine interface, which works fine to me. Problem is that if I call ->SetAntialias(true) on my line interface, alphablending stops working for any sprites drawn with ID3DXSprite afterwards. But If I draw a line without antialiasing it starts working again. I'm no expert on 3D and D3D, but I cannot seem to detect any texture state changes or render state changes made by the interface, and I don't know what to fix I can get around the problem by drawing the line twice, one time with antialiasing and one time without (with zero alpha) but I'd rather have a proper solution.   I have just completed an install and configuration of CS2007. I can load the catalog web service in a browser but when I invoke a method I get, "Failed to perform the specified catalog operation because the current user is not authorized to perform it." I have created the CatalogWebSvc account, given it write permissions on the store xml file, set the CatalogAppPool identity to it, added it to the IIS_WPG, added it to the CatalogAdministrator role in the Catalog Store, and made it db_owner of all the DBs in SQL.   I was wondering if anybody could give me a few pointers on designing a large solution. We have a rather large application written in a legacy codebase that we are rewritting from the ground-up in C# 2.0. One of the problems I constantly face is the fact that I would like to break things up into separate projects to group common things together but then I always face the problem of "circular references". Can some of you folks who are developing large applications give me some insignt in how you structure your solution(s) I have thought about having separate solutions, but that seems to defeat the purpose of having multiple projects in the same solution!   Events on Databound controls that have their Visible Property set to false at DesignTime do not fire events. I was told this was part of their design. I accept that fact. But controls that have Visible set to true at design time and then Visible gets set to false at runtime, will fire events even though Visible is false.
