  Am trying to learn VB with 2005 express and am having problem with this. How do you get a time from datetimepicker and compare it with the current time on the machine TimeOfDay is a timespan type which is measured in ticks A tick is equal to 100 nanoseconds...The interval on Timer_Tick is measured in milliseceonds...even if you set your interval property to 1 you would have an extremely difficult task to be able to match the timespan to the millisecond of a user setting Since you don't need that type of precison in an alarm clock I would try and use a Time data type versus a TimeSpan...or If DateTimePicker1 . • Smart Device Development wsdl and the compact framwork

  I am sorry if this is the wrong forum for this but if any one has any ideas thanks. I have the following problem run the wsdl.exe program to get the cs file with the definitions in works fine when run in a windows app with the full framwork. But if I try to move it over to the compact framework I get an error with the " AsyncCompletedEventArgs " in the file as this is not part of the compact framwork. Is there a way to get round this. • SQL Server Analysis Services 2005: "OLE DB error: OLE DB or ODBC error : Access denied" using an ORACLE source

  Hi, The source DB is in Oracle 9.i . I use the native pilot from Oracle. The connection test is OK. I can also explore the data in the Data Source View whithout any problem. But when I try to process the dimension, I get the error message "OLE DB error: OLE DB or ODBC error : Access denied.." . I tried with the Native pilot from MS for Oracle but got the same result.   hi all, in my execute sql task, i have a try catch statement to catch error code if there's an error... begin try insert into person.contact (contactid) values ('1') end try begin catch select @@error as ErrorCode end catch this ErrorCode will be mapped to a user variable. my problem is the value for ResultSet. in order to assign ErrorCode to the variable, i have to set the ResultSet value to Single row, but if this task does not fail, i need to set ResultSet value to None in order for it to run successfully.   I want to create a progress bar that does that bouncing stuff. You know how the green thing, instead of showing how much it done, it just indicates that the program is busy by bouncing from one end to the other and back..   So day 1 of the XNA madness has come to a close, with many more to follow. How far has everyone gotten on their first game projects I haven't spent nearly as much time as I wanted to on this, but I managed to get my head to bounce around the screen. I think the next step would be to add another head (i.e. angelina jolie) to bounce around. Maybe I'll even add collision detection so that if the heads hit, she says something like "I want you so much!" and I go "Yeah, whatever" and bounce. ...not sure if I should have mentioned the idea for this game...now everyone's going to steal it and make millions.
