  Hi! I am writing a .NET Compact Framework application, which loads a certain number of controls in a row and displays them to the user (first control A gets loaded and displayed full screen, then control A is replaced with control B, B is replaced with C and so on, but only one control is loaded at a time and each control will also be used only one time). Writing this application for a memory constrained environment (Pocket PC) I added a finalizer to a few controls to see if they got disposed properly, yet they didn't. So I wonder if there is a way to track the number of references to an object so that I can find out what keeps these controls from being collected.   Hi, we have a problem with team builds. I think we already came to the ground of the problem, but we don’t know how to fix the problem. Our desktop build works fine. • Game Technologies: DirectX, XNA, XACT, etc. PNG Alpha Channel

  I've imported a semi-transparent PNG to use for a sprite but the alpha channel isn't taken into account. It just renders as a fully opaque texture. How can I enable alpha channel support I used Photoshop CS to make my transparent PNG files and had no issues. In Photoshop did you save your PNG file with a white background still showing I got my image ready, deleted the white background so that the Grey and greyer squares (denoting transparency in Photoshop) were showing, and then saved as a PNG file. After that I simply set my mode to Alpha (as mentioned earlier in this chain) and drew it to the screen with no issues. Hope that helps. ...Show All

• Windows Live Developer Forums printing custom tile maps.

  Hi.. I am encountering a situation with printing the VEMap and I can not find a solution..so I hope one of you out there knows about this problem.. When I add custom layers (composed of transparent . png tiles containing visual information) from my server on top of the VEMap only the top layer of the map will print. The odd thing is that if I try to print preview it, it behaves correctly and it displays the whole map with its added layers... if I try to print it though.. it prints just the last added layer.   Hello all, I hope I can find some help here. I am trying to create a small sample application that uses Ink and a System.Windows.Form.WebBrowser, but I am having a few issues. I have tried all the following with a standard Form Panel and it works great, however with the WebBrowser I am running into several problems. Whenever I go to Select a Stroke the Stroke itself disappears and you can no longer see it, however you CAN see the transform box surrounding it. You can move and scale the Stroke just fine, except you just cannot see the Stroke itself.   I create a serialport and i add Datareceived event. When a call is coming i use readline function. I see only RING RING RING... I want to get the caller id. When i use HyperTerminal i write at,then at+vcid=1 and the number is displaed when a call is incomning. Also i receve OK when i write this strings in HyperTerminal. In my program i use the functions write and writeline whith the strings AT, AT+VCID=1 but i dont see any "OK" just the strings i wrote.
