.NET Development System.ServiceModel.dll no longer appears in Visual Studio's Add References dialog (.NET tab)
I have a brand new install of the Vista RC2 Candidate and I went looking and found that this was a problem in the past. However I am not sure the fix that was posted is the proper one as it was posted sometime back in February. System.ServiceModel.dll no longer appears in Visual Studio's Add References dialog (.NET tab). Game Technologies: DirectX, XNA, XACT, etc. Named Materials in Model
I'm trying to draw a model (imported from an *.X file) that contains 3 different Materials. In the xna model this results in 1 mesh containing 3 meshparts (one for each material). I intend to load different *.fx effect files for the different materials, but I see no way to find out what material belongs to what meshpart. I would expect a MaterialName (since the materialnames are in the *.X file as well), so I can apply the required *.fx file for that material to each meshpart.effect. What am I missing If you make a custom processor (derive from the builtin ModelProcessor, and overload the ConvertMaterial method) you will get a lot of flexibility to edit or replace the material settings ...Show All

Visual Basic Populate FlowLayoutPanel with clickable Images
Hello all, I want to create a kinda simple application that looks in a predefined folder for *.exe files and displays an image in the FlowLayoutPanel for each of the exe files. The thing I can't manage is the click procedure. I suppose I will need an two-dimensional where I will add the exe path and the image path or name. I'm not very experienced with vb.net and also didn't work with arrays yet. Any help is appreciated! SQL Server sql server lockup after strange error in log, help please.
Can anyone help me solve why my server is locking up. We're running sql server 2005 ent on a 2 cpu dual core server. With 3gig. Once each the last couple weeks, the machine has hung and the only thing I can find that's suspicious is on the sql server log. It's below. After the excerpt is about 50 more different memory errors. SQL Server MS Sql Express Tookit error during install
Trying to install MS Sql Server 2005 Express tool-kit on local PC to manage SQL Express on Server. Was able to get this installed on the server but would like to be able to run the tool kit on PC to build reports + publish on reports server. when i try and install on pc i get Error 1335.The cabinet file '_1979_RTL_x86_enu_VS_SCC_TeamCore.cab required for this installation is corrupt or cannot be used. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package. I used the exact same install SQLEXPR_TOOLKIT.EXE on the server & didnot receive this error. Visual Studio Express Editions Automatically enter Text from one Text box to another as you type.
I would like to setup a Text Box that pulls the Textbox.text from 2 separte text boxes and then displays them in this textbox. For Example... TextBox1.Text = "Jimmy" TextBox2.Text = "Taylor" TextBox3.Text = "Jimmy Taylor" But the kicker is I want it to add the "J" in TextBox3 as I type it in TextBox1 ect. Hi All I have a webservice that uploads a file. Actually it uploads a FileStream and does its thing. It works great. However, I was wondering, sometimes, when I upload a large file, it takes time. Ok, I have a VB6 application that has maybe 20+ programs involved in it. I'm in the process of converting these to VB.Net. G'day folks, I have been reading through the MSDN documentation on Event Based Asychronous Pattern. There is an excellent example on titled "Multithreaded Programming with the Event Based Asynchronous Pattern": http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bz33kx67.aspx I have followed through the example and have one question, is it possible to add a Pause button that would simply temporarily suspend a async thread that is currently executing. After the sleep period wakeup and continue processing from the point it when to sleep. SQL Server matrix query
I have the need to create queries that contain dynamic columns as in a matrix for example. a town cash report. columns are Jan05,Feb05,Mar05.... rows are town1,town2... data is lets say QTY for town1 during jan05 etc Depending on the beginnig month and ending month will determine the number of and name of the columns. The same is true of the rows (beginning town and ending town. Another example is this. employee paycodes. columns are paycode1,paycode 31,paycode32... rows are empl1,empl2... data might be earnings for that empl in that paycode category.
