• Windows Forms How to change the default form

  I created a form in a seperate project in my solution called "BaseControls". The only thing the form does is it has a gradient background. The only way to use the form right now is to create a windows form and then go into the partial class and change the inherits Winows...forms to my BaseControls.frmGradientSteelBlue. • Visual Studio Team System Access to RUP process template?

  We're a RUP shop and have used TFS for one project. We applied the MSF Agile process template for that project, used Sparx Enterprise architect for our UML and requirements traceability, and then bodged up some integration between the two. We're about to start a new project and I am wondering if there's a chance of getting an early look at the (R)UP process template. • SQL Server performance tuning on high volume server

  I am looking to improve the performance of my sql server databases. I currently have a dual location system, the database server setup is basically a quad xeon with 4gb at my office and a double xeon with 4gb at a remote webhosting location. There are separate application/web/intranet servers at each site. The two databases servers are replicated with the local server publishing to the remote server. The relational database holds circa 26 million records, growing by a volume of 10,000 per day, there are approximately 50,000 queries performed per day.   I am having a lot of trouble getting the webbrowser location to show up in the textbox that I use as my address bar. • SQL Server Newbie questions on processing cubes

  A few months ago i overtook a datawarehouse solution in our company, as the developer that was in charge of it decided it was time for a new job...I had never seen this Analysis Services before, so it is quite a challenge to know what exactly is happening here... The issue is we have around 13 cubes and 20 dimensions or so, and some dimensions are shared among cubes... The whole database containing cubes/dimensions is processed daily and this takes 6 hours!! I can see the previous developer just made a quick SSIS Package with a SSAS Task in which he just chose the database and its selected as process full... Thats all...   I just installed the Team Foundation Server MSSCCI Provider to test using Visual Studio 2003 against TFS. everything looked good until i couldn't find an option to switch between VSS and TFS. when i realized i couldn't get back to the VSS provider, i uninstalled the TFS provider - only to discover i no longer had a source control provider for Visual Studio 2003. we're in the midst of migrating a lot of applications - seems like having the ability to switch between providers would be a given. is there not a way and ... how could i have reinstated VSS as the source control provider w/o having to repair my VSS installation You can switch providers, but Visual Studio does not provide a built-in way ...Show All
