  I'm reading O'Reillys Programming in C# book and have come to the chapter on delegates and I'm a bit confused. I understand exactly the purpose of them (eg. I've been using Delphi for several years and understand event-driven programming), but I'm a bit unsure on the syntax.   Every machine I own has a copy of Visual Studio 2005 Team Developer or Professional on it. Do I have to remove VS2005 Pro in order to get C# express and GSE installed, or can I install express side-by-side with VS2005 Pro/Team so I can work on GSE on one of my machines I didn't see this addressed in the FAQ.   I am using a checked listbox that I populate by using databinding. On a button click event, I want to do some processing based on which items were checked in the control. • Visual Basic trying to keep in english text

  I have a few users who run a a secondary language pack on their computer, like Thai or Japanese. For whatever reason, when they make changes on the configuration screen of my software, the operating system doesn't switch to the english, it stays in that foreign pack. Let me explain with a real life example: The user types in an email address in the configuration screen. They press save. The next time they open the config screen, they see all weird characters. Therefore, the software cannot function correction as the data it's loading up from the config files is in a different language and thus an email address looks like ^$#$%$%^# and other wierd symbols.   I'm sure i'm overlooking this, but how do you put a delay driven event onto a state I'm trying to design a state machine workflow such that if the workflow has been in the State for more than X hours or days, to fire an event (causing a state transition). This is logic specific to the design of the workflow.  Some states might need this, others not, in some workflows, not others.   Hi All, I've created Outlook 2003 Add On project in VS 2005.   Hi I'm using VS2005 to display some data from table. In DataGridView I have a DataGridViewCheckBoxColumn who don't work with values 1 and -1 for false and true. If I put 1 and 0, or true and false, or Y and N is working. The problem is taht , the database is already using this values, program is ported from delphi to c#. • SQL Server Default Parameters Not being set

  Hi there, In my report, I have set the default parameters such that it is supposed to automatically render when the page loads. I have set the defaults in Report / Report Parameters and it even works in the preview pane, however, when I deploy the report, the defaults are not set. This report has subreports, and I've tried setting their defaults.   It appears that following my conversion to .NET 2 some of my dependent assemblies aren't getting copied accross more than one level. i.e. SmartCheckRemoteBusinessServices references SmartCheckDataAccessObject that references both SmartCheckBusinessObjectPersistenceMappingAU and SmartCheckBusinessObjectPersistenceMappingUK . SmartCheckBusinessObjectPersistenceMappingAU.dll and SmartCheckBusinessObjectPersistenceMappingUK.dll are not being copied to ..SmartCheck\SmartCheckRemoteBusinessServices\bin\Debug. These are getting built into ..\SmartCheckDataAccessObject\bin\Debug but not copied accross to the remote business services binary area.   Andy Dunn pointed out someone on this forum that had similar arguements that I have been screaming about with DirectX for years. It was hilarious but it also true that other people were seeing what I saw. For one, it is very difficult working with APIs that I simply prefer for development, but support from Microsoft has become slim to nothing and hardly ever have a decent replacement. I have been developing applications for some years now and I just don't feel the same excitement for working with DIrectX as I did the first time I picked up several books on it.
