  hi, I have wrote a simple C# device application program intend to call the function from the managed C++/CLI Class library in the form of *.dll file. The *.dll is named as pll.dll. My procedure is added the pll.dll file as 'add reference' and i Rebuild the C# device application project concurrently. Afterthat, i tried to deploy it to the PC Pocket emulator. • Software Development for Windows Vista Changes to WMI on Vista that would prevent custom WMI Provider DLL from loading?

  I have a WMI Provider DLL that I devloped a couple of years ago that is used to gather some extra system info and put it in the CIMV2 namespace. It has worked fine on 2000 and XP, but when I try and use it on Vista it doesn't appear to even be loading. MOFCOMP on my MOF file runs OK, as well as regsvr32 with the DLL. I can see the class in the WMI Browser, but no istances of my WMI object. The DLL is based on the C++ framework code generated by the "Microsoft WMI Code Generation Engine" from the WMI SDK released a few years ago. I have tried turning off UAC in Vista but that doesn't seem to make any difference. I haven't been able to find any specific info about why the WMI Provider DLL woudn't work on Vista. • Internet Explorer Development IE7 and desktop icons

  I just installed Internet Explorer 7 today, which I guess is a.k.a. Windows Live . All of my fancy customized shortcuts on the desktop disappeared and each got replaced by the same generic windows icon. Right-clicking & changing the icons in properties no longer works. Also, when I create an internet shortcut while browsing, that creates a shortcut with that same generic icon (not even an explorer logo). Now my desktop is just one forest of identical icons.   Hi All, I have a Requirement where I want to backup my ReportServer key evey night to a file. Not sure if there is already any utility available on the internet but when I went to createa simple utility I was stuck where I dont have a way to run the rskeymgmt command silently.   I'm having some problems getting my shadow maps to work on the Xbox 360, but they work great under Windows. There seems to be some weird SetRenderTarget and ResolveRenderTarget behaviors I don't really understand on the Xbox 360. I’ve got too much code to post here, so some pseudocode is at the bottom.   Hey there, I have seen a few posts about this, but the fixes listed (in app data, deleting files & dirs) did not work for me. My contact list works fine in the old MSN, however when i install MSN Live it does not show anyone. I can try to add contacts and it shows them as offline (even though I know they are online). My friend has Live installed on his computer and it works fine, and we can sign in my ID on his computer and my list shows up. Since this is only on my computer, there must be something wrong with my settings but I have no idea what.   Hi, I want (for an example) to develope a store system with WPF/xbap. Every store item can have a "product deteils" URL. This details page comes direct from the manufactuter. From the first look WBA seems to be a real great idea for such a solution because I have a lot of functionality to build a rich UI. The only problem is that I have to provice information from manufacturer sites. And I don't want to loose my application focus for this. So it is (from my point of view) very normal to show the content in a new window. Otherwise the user gets lost since there is no way to bring him back from the manufatorers site to my WBA.   Hey guys, I think I understand most of the caveats of a baseless merge, but I saw some behaviour that I wasn't expecting. I have 2 folders that look something like: Main - file1.cs - file2.cs - file3.cs Release - file1.cs - file2.cs - file3.cs I did a 'tf merge Release Main /baseless /recursive' to merge the 2, resolved conflicts and checked in. But, when I select a folder like Release and choose Merge in the source code explorer, I don't get any merge target branches. I was expecting to see Main . If I select a file in Release like file1.cs and choose merge, I get a target file1.cs in Main like I expect.   I'd like to detect whether the detail section of a report has been supressed and programatically change the text properties of the next higher section. Specifically, if the detail section is visible, then the next higher group header gets bold text. If the detail is not visible, then the next higher group header text is normal.
