Visual Studio How do you Edit text while parsing?
Hi. I'm working on a custom language-editor by extending the LanguageService-class in the MPF. I'm currently trying to edit the text while parsing. As an example, I want to add a closing brace if one is not present while trying to match bracers: public override AuthoringScope ParseSource( ParseRequest req) { if (req.Sink.Reason == ParseReason .HighlightBraces) { m_parser.setup(req); m_parser.parse(); if (m_parser.noMatchingBracerFound) { if (m_parser.triggeringChar = '"' ) { //add a closing doublequote in front of the one that triggered the bracemathcing //highlight new matching doublequotes } //.... } //highlight bracers } //.... Visual Studio Team System Numerous errors in the Application Event Log when TFS host is rebooted
I'm not sure that there's anything "wrong" here, but it seems worth asking about - I noticed in the event log for my TFS host that quite a number of errors and warnings were logged within the first 15-20 seconds of operation following a reboot. Subsequent to that, everything's working just fine. Off hand, it looks like most of the issues stem from Tfs services spinning up and attempting to (directly or indirectly) use SQL Server before it's ready to accept connections, but that's really just a guess, not the result of any detailed analysis. Of course, in the long run, I'd like to see a reboot that doesn't log bogus exceptions from services stumbling over each other at startup, but for 1.0, is this expected/typical behavior ...Show All

SQL Server Unistall unsuccessful and can not see Microsoft SQL Server 2005 in installed programs list
I went through the install of the MS SQL Server 2005 Std Edt only to find that I can not open up the "SQL Server Business Intelligence Development Studio" since I was missing the exe to run it that should have been located at "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\Common7\IDE\devenv.exe". Due to this happening it seemed to me that some of the install failed, so I went about trying to uninstall the SQL Server setup. Within the "Add or Remove Programs" tool I selected the "Microsoft SQL Server 2005" from the list and clicked on the button that said "Remove". This did not seem to do anything except for remove the "Microsoft SQL Server 2005" selection from that tool selection list. It went way to quick an ...Show All

Windows Forms Best Approach to Preventing Windows from dragging underneath an Always on Top, TopMost Window

I've looked into trying to find a way to create a second monitor that is a virtual and visible one that can attach to the primary desktop and lock itself in place and then all other windows go to in the primary which has to be resized to fit the rest of the screen after the virtual monitor and communicate messages.
