Visual C++ How to get handle of a formview?
I developed a MFC singledocument application in VS2005. Then I added two formview, named IDD_FORMVIEW1, CVideo1, and IDD_FORMVIEW2, CVideo2. Smart Device Development Running a DLL like an EXE
Hi, This may seem like a silly question, but is it possible to have a DLL just run by itself I know that the registered DLL will be accessed at startup by it's DllMain function (and then it's xxx_Init function... or is that wrong ), and this function will lock out all other processes. So I can't just go linking the rest of my program from there. But, is it possible to spawn a thread during the start up functions so that the program will continue to run Basically I want to just use my functions in a never ending loop in the background, so to write an EXE which just sits there calling the function seems a bit wasteful. Visual Studio 2008 (Pre-release) where is the RENDER function like other 3d designing technologies
Hi, I have created a fairly complex 3d object using ZAM3d, the object when i create and render using the "render window" function in zam 3d is pretty good looking but when i convert the same to the xaml the LOOKS are lost. the diff. is visible in this http://img514.imageshack.us/img514/1761/renderdiffmt7.jpg is it possible to do something like "SupressRender" to have the same looks in xaml a well. Windows Forms A little trouble with custom controls
I am just trying to make an interface in VC++ 2005 which when you click on the various tabs or sidebar buttons you get a different UI for a different part of the project. As there would be about 6 screens in total, and all containing lots of components, I thought the best way to keep tthings seperate would be gto have each screen as a custom component, and then have them fill a panel on the main form, which can be changed depending on the mode selected. I made the custom controls, and the main form, but when I type the code to add the custom controls, I get an error in designer mode: "Could not find type 'MainForm.GraphScreen'. Visual Studio Express Editions How to find missing numbers
I am trying to figure out code to determine which numbers are missing from a column within a datagridview based on a number entered by the user. In other words, if the user enters 10 into a textbox and there are 3 rows of data in a datagridview that contain 2, 5, and 7 in a column named Number, then I need a string result to be "1 Or 3 Or 4 Or 6 Or 8 Or 9 Or 10". Visual Studio Express Editions mathematical operations combining the data from richtextboxes
I am having difficulty adding two richtextboxes and putting the result into a third. I cannot find how to change the data from 'string' to 'integer' so that the result will be correct. I am trying to write a program to play a mathematically involved board game, and want he program to perform the math functions automatically. HELP!!!!!!! I am inserting rows using OLEDBDestination and want to redirect all error rows to EXCEL Destination. I have used Data Conversion Transformation to Convert all strings to Unicode string fields before sending it to Excel Destination. But its gives the following error. Hi ya, I have 2 data table objects declared in my code. both have got a unique SID field. Now both table can contain any no of records. I just want to have a query like this "select * from [table1] where table1.SID <> (select SID S from [table2])" I tried to look at table.Select method but it doesn't work somehow. How can i do it. The only other solution i can go with to create a temporary table in sql server 2005 and then drop it after this whole thing is finished. I've been reading DirectX sdk tutorials and MDX tutorials and things like that, and it seems VERY VERY VERY hard. Will this new XNA studio and the documentation simplify this All these vectors and whatnot is very complicated and I'm having trouble understanding seemingly basic concepts in game programming in 3d. Many people look down on game programmers but they don’t know that games are one of the most difficult things to program. It funny that when I am working on my resume or talking to a recruiter about a job I feel embarrassed when I talk about any games I have programmed. Visual Studio Express Editions Replacing Text with Text from another form
For my program I need to be able to take text from one text box where the user will enter information and include that in a text box with information. (ex. for an aircraft callsign, Cessna N4734W is entered in a textbox on one form, then when they are viewing another form, the text wil need to have the callsign in the info - Cessna N4734W, requesting takeoff - or something among that sort.) I also need to know howto make it so when a button is pressed, that information will be entered into a textbox. The textbox where the "request takeoff" part is a masked textbox. SQL Server Help on one colum
Hi, I have a column in SQL that needs to be created. This column needs to start with 10 zero's. If I add a number, say 135 the column needs to read : 0000000135. Is this possible If it is how do I need to go about to do this. If I need to create a view or something like that I do not mind. I am open to all suggestions and appreciate the help. Hi, I have been working with FTP lately, related to my last post where I had problems with some unix servers when trying to get the size of a file, I have discovered that this property does not work as Microsoft says in his whitepaper .
