Visual Basic DirectX - How to exit from Do Loop cicle
Hello, I'm tring to program a DirectX application. I'm using an MDI container form that contains other child forms. In one of the form I've put a PictureBox in wich I would like to insert a 3D animation made with the DirectX class. My problem is in the "device" instruction, because when I open the form I can see the animation in the PictureBox but when I CLOSE the form I receive an errore message in the "device.Present()" instruction into the "Do Loop" cicle. I think that mybe the problem is in the fact that when the form is closed the Do Loop cicle is still running and the device don't found the PIctureBox. Is it possible How can i fix the problem inserting a controll instruction to stop the ci ...Show All
Audio and Video Development How to create INPUT element from JS?
Hello All I tried to create INPUT element from JS, but I couldn't do it (I don't see text in HDiSim). My test project: http://slil.ru/23567285 How can I do it P.S. HDiSim v0.1 See Z.13.1.1.3 of the spec Using the XML DOM API's to alter the DOM does not immediately affect the live loaded document,. You need to call document.load() after you add the element. Although, that should trigger the setMarkupLoadedHandler, so you will probably want to modify your script so that the modification doesn't happen in OnLoad_ ...Show All

SQL Server SQL Server 2000 Connects to Remote DB but not Local DB. Why?
I am using MS SQL Server 2000, installed on my local machine. I use JCreator 3.50 as my development IDE for Java. I have Norton Internet Security, but it does not block port 1433, which I use for SQL Server. Windows Firewall is turned OFF. My hard drive died, and my backup died then as well (it had been fine 1 week before). I had to start from scratch. I installed Windows XP SE2, JDK version 5 (version 1.5.0_06, I had previously used 1.40) and SQL Server 2000 with SP 2 as well. When it didn't work, I uninstalled SQL Server 2000 and did a clean install of SQL Server 2000. Instead of the default instance, I gave the instance a specific name, so I would know what to put in the Java code. I can connect with a remote DB using the standard URL a ...Show All

How can I restore a SQL Server 2005 database to a SQL Server 2000 database it is possible when you export the data from sql2005 then import to SQL 2000. Visual Basic Application Version in VB.NET 2003
As per the subject, I'm using VB.NET 2003 and I want to be able to show a version number for my application in a help form and also check this version number against the latest version, defined in a database. I have tried Application.ProductVersion but this didn't change even when I added a new form to the project. I've tried googling and searching these forums but not found anything that helped much. If I have to physically do something to update the version number I might as well add my own into App.config - there must be a better way... Thanks for the replies Ray.
