• Visual C++ Question on Visual Studio C ++ 6.0

  I was compiling a source code of Visual C++ in Visual Studio 6.0 environment. The code contains German and Italian characters in the comments. When the complier reaches that point it outputs as "fatal error C1071: unexpected end of file found in comment". Since this occurs in many places could you help me how could I resolve the problem I need to leave those comments untouched but on the other hand need to compile the source codes and run the executable. Is there any way exactly how this could be done in Visual Studio C++ 6.0. I am in Canada, using English as my first language.   Hi, I have a user control and want it to subclass a my base class instead of System.Windows.Controls.UserControl. I figured I could use x:Subclass as follows: < UserControl x:Class = " MyClass " x:Subclass = " MyBaseClass " xmlns = http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation xmlns:x = http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml > Unfortunately, this does not work. • SQL Server SQLEVN70.rll error

  Hello, Would someone be so kind as to guide me to where I can download this SQLEVN70.rll . I downloaded SQL express 2005 and net framework 2.0 to try and reinstall it to my windows xp pro after I deleted sql server per Microsoft advice due to business contact manager messing up my outlook express. Is there a better way because every time I try to open Outlook I get the msg. sql server not found and cannot find database for business contact mgr. I removed this application. Thank you in advance. • SQL Server Loading excel file(.xls) into sqlserver (ASP.net web application)(ASP.net framework 1.0)

  I am using framework 1.0 to do the above tasks. Since there is no fileupload function in .net 1.0, i will be using the html control tools (file field) to do the upload option. i have totally no idea of how to start coding it...can anyone guide me through the steps thanks i think i should explain my project... i am doing a web application... • Visual C++ VS 2003 VC++ Debugger Problem

  Hi Every time i go to debug my project, it tells me "These project configuration(s) are out of date." and "Would you like to build them" It will do this for both the configurations I have, then if i select yes, to build, it compiles two files (always the same files) links and runs. I have not modified the two files in weeks I have looked through the files and cant see anything out of the ordinary. • Internet Explorer Development IE 7 opening to Run Once page with error on it.

  I downloaded updates last week. I have been using IE7 for a while with no problem. I dwnloaded the updates. Now when I open my browser the page tries to go to http://runonce.msn.com/runonce2.aspx . There is an error reported for this page and it will not open up I get a blue screen. How do I eliminate this I have my home page set in the tools section but when opening it won't go to my home page until I hit the home button on the tool bar. • Visual C++ Implementing "Open With"

  I have an application derived from CDialog that reads, edits, and saves a special file. I have made a release version and a setup.exe for my application. After installing the application to my PC, I right-click on file type used by the application and select "Open With" and choose my application. When I do this the application opens up and is ready for use, however the file I selected was not automatically opened. In other words it is no different that going to the start menu and opening the application, because the file doesn't actually open. • SQL Server SSIS Excel source read problem

  I have a problem with reading data from an Excel file in SSIS. I'm trying to read a column that mostly consists of decimal values, but there are couple places where column entry is 2 numbers separated by a slash (e.g. "100/6.0"). SSIS tries to be smart and identifies the column data type as decimal and when it reads the cell with the slash in it, it reads as NULL. I tried to make my excel source reader component to read that cell as a string, but it gives me an error. • Visual Studio Team System Filegroups

  I am receiving this error when using the project "deploy" option. Error 1 Msg 5035, Level 16, State 1, Line 1 Filegroup 'ppf_table' already exists in this database. When I use the "build" option, this error does not occur. This file group does indeed exist in the target database. What I can't figure out is why it attempts to create it given I am using the "update deploy" option. I tried removing the file group items from my project in the solution explorer. This caused all of them to be removed (temporarily) from the schema view except for this one. No difference.   Hi, I have used a DataList to build part of a WebPage. The datalist creates rows of input fields each with a unique ID. I need to extract data from these fields when the user Submits the page, however: The number of rows is not always the same. Each row is bounded by its own table, row and td. When I make the call DataList.Items.Count I get a value of zero. I have played around with it for a bit now, but there is one thing that I can't figure out. Take the following scenario: Production system has version n of the database, which was deployed at some point in time. After 6 months of development we are ready to generate a new release. A release consists of an MSI or two that does everything to install the new software upgrade the databases.
