  Hey everyone, Well, I currently have Vista Ultimate burned to a DVD, and I tried to install it on one of my computers, which has an ABIT IC7-G Motherboard and RAID 0 configuration. The computer had Windows XP Professional on it before, and the 82801ER RAID Controller. First, I tried installing Vista from XP, where I had the "Upgrade" option. However, it spontaneously restarted in the middle of the process, and when the Vista setup started again, my only option was to do a clean install. I chose this option, but when it got to the step where I had to choose my hard drive, it did not recognize any. I loaded up a floppy I made with the 82801ER Controller, and this floppy allowed Vista to recognize the hard drive. I went through with ...Show All

• SQL Server IS_MEMBER Not working with User defined database roles

  I am not sure why this is not working it clearly states in the MSDN that it should " ' role ' Is the name of the SQL Server role being checked. role is sysname and can include the database fixed roles or user-defined roles but not server roles. " I have seen many questions revolving around this issue on this site and on the net about this but know one can answer it I have created a new user defined database role called testrole with any owner then created a new sql login and user (Sql Authentication) add the user to the database role testrole check IS_MEMBER and it returns 0 try this with a fixed database role and I get the desired result of 1 this is simple and should not be such a problem for ever ...Show All

  Hi, I would like to use Direct3D in the right hand coordinate system and therefore use the respective RH versions of the static Matrix methods. In my book Managed DirectX Kick Start by Tom Miller I quote what is required to perform this task: “Use the view matrix to scale the world by -1 in the Z direction. You can do this by flipping the sign of the M31, M32, M33 and M34 members of the view matrix.” Now in the Msdn docs it states: “The M34 element of a projection matrix cannot be a negative number. • SQL Server Service Broker Table Copy, file send?

  Hi There I have a table at my initiator, i have a copy of this table at my target, every morning i want to refresh the table at the target with the data from the initiator via service broker. What would be the best way to do this One major consideration would be that this table would be very large +- 1.6 million rows. I was thinking of exporting the table to file like a csv, compressing the file and then sending it via service broker. Then at the target i would uncompress and bulk copy the data into the table at the target.   ok, bashing my head in the wall again. I am using Visual C# exp. 2005 , sql exp 2005 on a winXP Box I have a table called options, to make it easy, lets say it has a season column, which contains the season data such as spring, somer, winter, fall. It also has a choices column, which would contain the choices to pick from for each season. so,, the first row maybe Season = spring with choice = blue, second row is Season = fall with choice = green and thrid row is season = spring and choice = red. now the form. • Internet Explorer Development IE7 RC1 hangs upon open - keeps trying to connect

  I just tried installing IE7 RC1 onto my computer. Symantec anti-virus was disabled upon install. When I open up IE7, it tries to connect, but freezes my system. Tab stuck in Connecting... mode. The internet connection is set to Detect Automatically and doesn't have a proxy sever. I was able to connect previously when using IE6 and can connect without a problem when using Mozilla browser. Don't forget you can right click in th IE icon, select property and get into the settings with out starting IE. Then go to Manage Add-ons.
