• Software Development for Windows Vista Visioneer 8900 Scanner Driver

  Have been unable to have Vista recognizeXP driver for Visioneer 8900 Scanner. Driver is version 3.0 using PaperPort 7.0. The drivers available at Visioneer are not compatible either. Anyone have success installing the above scanner I realize this is late, but for those searching the web for an answer, I have at least a partial solution. I found the driver for the new Visioneer 9420 will run the 8900. Uninstall the 8900 files, if you have them installed. Download the .MSI file for the 9420 from the Visioneer site. • Visual Basic Tracking user controls - very simple, I'm sure

  Hi everyone - hope you can help me with this. I'm new to .net, and it's been a long time since I've used VB at all... I have made a modified version of the PictureBox, which the user can drag around the form. It just does this using the obvious technique of tracking the mouse position if the 'button is down' flag is true, which is set to true during mouseDown and set to false during mouseUp. It all works fine. BUT I need a way to let the main form know that the user has dragged the control around, so that it can store its current position for later. • Smart Device Development Can WMP 10 on WM 5.0 really do streaming?

  I am needing to create a streaming application on Windows Mobile 5.0. My first tests have been to even see if WMP10 can really do streaming audio. I've tried an ASX, mp3, wmv file all from a remote server, as well as a streaming mp3 feed and get the same dialog saying "Cannot play this file. The file is either corrupted or the player...blah blah blah". So can WMP really do streaming at all They work fine on the standard WMP on my PC. Thank you very much. I appreciate it. If I compile the program, no compilation error (as expected), but if I right click on the 'min' or 'max' and then ask 'Go To Declaration' or 'Go To Definition', I get the error "The symbol 'min; is not defined". • Visual Studio Debugging arrays in the Watch Window

  I'm using Microsoft Visual C++ version 7, and I have an array in my code. I would like to be able to see the elements of the array in the Watch window as I am debugging. Right now, if I want to see the elements of the array, I have to enter in the individual elements on separate lines like: myarray[0] myarray[1] myarray[2] If I only put in the name of the array like: myarray then there is a plus sign next to it, and when I expand it, I can see the first element of the array only. • Visual Studio 2008 (Pre-release) WPF hosting DirectX

  I am trying to run an app that uses DirectX and C# in a WPF/Vb app. I created a usercontrol with C# that essentially runs the main window of the DirectX app. I tried the usercontrol with .NET 2.0 and Windows Forms and all is OK. I then tried it with WPF and I got a LoaderLock error which I got around by turning off the LoaderLock exception in VS2005. I do not get any exceptions but the DirectX part of the original app does not render. All the other controls in the original app render OK inside the WPF window, but the DirectX part is black. • SQL Server How do I add an ODBC connection data source as a Data Flow Source

  I have set up a new connection as a connection from data source, but I cannot see how to use this connection to create my Data Flow Source. I have tried using an OLE DB connection, but this is painfully slow! The process of loading 10,000 rows takes 14 - 15 minutes. The same process in Access using SQL on a linked table via DSN takes 45 seconds. I've been looking into Proprietary actions of statement actions but I cannot find any documentation of examples.
