• SQL Server Merge replication error - invalid column name 'rowguidcol'

  Hi, I'm having dramas with a merge replication between two servers. They have been replicating information between three databases happily for about 18 months. Recently I had to do an upgrade on the databases, so I deleted the subscriptions and the snapshots, applied the upgrade script and recreated the snapshots and subscriptions. Now when they go to replicate, the merge agent for each subscription gives the error "invalid column name 'rowguidcol'". From some investigation, I think this has something to do with the fact that as they used to replicate, the subscriber has the schema information from the old snapshot, and doesn't recognise the new one. • Software Development for Windows Vista Designer Re-hosting, changeing workflow name, adding properties.

  I have made some changes to the Vihang Dalal "Everything About Re-Hosting ..." example code, to add properties via the main form menu. When I add a PolicyActivity to the designer surface, I can use the rules editor to use the added properties. I have also implemented the "UpdateTypeName" in the memberCreationService.When I save the workflow, both the .xoml and .cs files contain the changes, as expected. However, If I then change the workflow name, I can no longer make use of the property added earlier. (can't see it in the rules editor). Saving the workflow again contains both the changed workflow name (class) and the added properties, but I still can't see the added properties in the rules editor. ...Show All

  Hi I have installed SQL Express 2005 on a Windows 2003 server.   When I trying to build a team project which have project referenct with another team project, it failed. Then i try to edit the TFSBuild.proj script to fix this, according to a helpful post by Manish Agarwal. Then I execute the new TFSBuild.proj, it failed(of course). gives me an error MSB3073.   hi all, I am nearly done writing an application (in vb.net) that uses interop for Microsoft Powerpoint, and the problem is that when I write to the slide, I don't want the user to see those updates. I know in vba, one would write 'Application.ScreenUpdating = false', however screenupdating is not found under the application.   Hi, Whenever I do a throw FaultException<ApplicationException> in my service, or any other type, I get a "FaultException was unhandled by usercode", and only the base FaultException is transmitted to the client, not the FaultException<ApplicationException> (ie : ApplicationException is empty).   Hi, In the company, I'm working for a great xb360 game now. Also I want to develop my own smart games for xb360. There are so many xb360 kits and other xb360-related hardware resources in my company but I can't use them for my business. So the question is: How can I get/buy the XBox 360 kit machine I can't see them opening up native development and C++ on the 360 without the $$ becuase of the way the console games are handled financially. The Console manufacturer has to control that process. Also there is a lot more security risk allowing this. • Windows Forms using mousewheel in treeview

  I want to use the mousewheel to scroll trough nodes in a Treeview, selecting und unselecting each in turn as I scroll. This will displays display certain related information about the selected treenode. My problem is that this also scrolls the entire treeveiw display up or down, often hiding the node I am trying to select with the mouswheel. I dont want the nousewheel to scroll the treeview. Essentially I want the mousewheel all to myself after pressing the middle mouse button to start the process.   I am having a problem upgrading my VB6 application to VS2005. My application consists of several DLL projects and a single EXE project. All of the DLL projects convert successfully. However the EXE project fails with an "Application caused an exception" error. I have since identified that there appears to be a limit of 127 Forms/UserControls. By reducing the complexity (total number of Forms/Controls) of the main project i have been able to successfully convert the EXE project.
