Visual Studio Visual Studio hangs until I move the mouse
After the excruciating 90 minute Service Pack 1 install (longer than Visual Studio itself), I still have mouse-powered debugging. That is, Visual Studio hangs completely when I debug a project, until I move the mouse. While the mouse is in motion, the status bar at the bottom of the window shows the DLLs it's loading, but as soon as I stop moving the mouse it stops. If I set focus on a different window it finishes loading normally. Other developers on my team face this same problem, and we've all seen it in different projects. Visual Studio Express Editions Bad variable type error (DISP_E_BADVARTYPE)
I get the error DISP_E_BADVARTYPE when running a routine that calls up an instance of Excel. However, I do not get it on all the machines I attempt it on. The code runs fine on my development machine. I have tried it on two other machines, both of which do not have Visual Studio, and it works on one but not the other. All three of the machines are configured with version 2.0 of the .net framework and Excel 2003, so I do not think it is a versioning issue. I can't understand why this is happening, and the message I get from the JIT compiler does not help very much. I'd appreciate any thoughts on the matter. The code is below. Hello, im new to ur forum. I'm working on a very simple gadget, but i have problem with the flyout and with showing a web site in it. Can anyone tell me how i show a wesite within the flyout box. I have heard that .NET winform application can be run on browser(like java applet) also, is that true If yes, how Also, does .NET 3.0 able to make WPF application run on browser and automatically transfer it to web application Thanks a lot. Visual C++ MS DTP Issue
Hi All, MS DTP is implemented in such a way that when using DTP Control, if a) you type in 2 digit year which is <=29, it takes it as 20XX where XX is the year you entered. b) you type in 2 digit year which is >=30, it takes it as 19XX where XX is the year you entered. As soon as user types a 2 digit year in MS DTp control, it automatically converts it to 19XX or 20XX depending upon what user typed. So, even if I do an UpdateData() and get the value to a data variable .. I get the 4 digit value and not a 2 digit ... and there is no way for me to know thatuser typed a 2digit year(which MS control automatically updated) or a 4 digit year. Hello, I'm doing a drawing program, where the user creates lines, curves, etc, and then he can move them. The problem is that I get quite a lot of screen tearing, specially when moving the lines. Visual Studio Adding contents of textboxes on RDLC report
I have an rdlc report that has two textboxes. The values of these textboxes are items received on time, and items late. This is caluclated using decision function and counting the rows that match. I have a third text box that I want to add the contents of textbox 1 & the second textbox. Currently I am recalulating using decision functions which seems a bit excessive when I alreay have the values sitting in other textboxes. Thing is I cant find the way to call the textboxes on the rdlc report. Using =textbox1.value + textbox2.value does not work. hi, how i can to write program into two pc one is my personal pc and other is office pc.... if i copy directory project (name of program) into two pc, i doesn't see the form windows... but only the code.... help me.. thank's. Find the folder labeled Visual Studio 2005. It should be in My Documents. Then just find the project folder and transfer to the other computer. What's the trick to making a DataGridViewButtonColumn render correctly in a DataGridView control I've added the column and set the text property and can even click the cell and cause the cell clicked event to fire but all I see is a blank white cell. Any ideas Thanks. It seems that your button column has its FlatStyle set to FlatStyle.Popup. Consider changing it to FlatStyle.Standard. There is a major bug in the webbrowser control, OR I am doing something wrong. I'm hoping its the second. Visual Studio Express Editions Missing Template Files For New Projects In Visual Basic 2005 Express Edition
I've installed Visual Basic 2005 Express Edition and when I click on new project I get them message "No Visual Studio template information found. See the application log in Event Viewer for more details..." If you are familiar with this, I'm sure you know the rest of the line. However, I can see where those files are in my installation folder when I use Windows Explorer. When I try to unzip these files, it would not let me.
