• Visual Basic Opening Default Email Client

  Hi, I'm developing an application using Visual Basic 2005 and I'm just wondering how I go about opening a new email using the default email client Basically, my application has a section where the user can enter email addresses. I want the user to be able to click on any of the email addresses and have the default email client set in Windows (such as Outlook or Outlook Express for example) open up a New Message window with the To field already filled in with the email address the user clicked on. • SQL Server Active Directory and Stored Procedures

  I have a need to access the active directory from a stored procedure. I am certain that CLR is the answer but I am having a hard time finding and example and I am a true newbie to AD and CLR. Has anyone ever attempted to do this I would love to see an example in VB if possible. Thank you, I had seen the first link and had started working with it. I now have to find a way to convert the SID from a byte array so I can store it in my application. I am only storing the SID and will make "round trips" to the AD for all user information.   Hello, I'm looking for a way in XACT to assign a sound to always play out a particular channel. For instance, I want to have an LFE sweetener sound that can be added to cues. I want this sound to always play out the LFE channel. Is there an easy way to do this in XACT I can't seem to find it in the SDK documentation. Alex Right now, there's no real way to do that from the XACT GUI, but it is on our "to do" list. Your best bet for the short term is to create a separate cue with just the LFE sound in it. Then you can tell the programmer to play that cue at the same time as the cue(s) you want to sweeten/fatten with it.   Hi, In one of my packages, I have join data from 2 data sets. The problem is 'Join' requires both dataset to be sorted and I can't sort one dataset without 'sort' transformation. The real problem is since I have to sort 65million records, the sort operation sucks always. The other option is using 'Lookup', but since I have to do 'Range Lookup', it is taking hours and hours to process less # of records.   Hi, For my i-mate K-JAM (HTC Wizard, WM 5.0), I'm working on a Today Screen plugin which gives me some simple items of information, namely: 1) Signal Strength 2) Battery Remaining 3) Latest Cell Broadcast message While I've got #1 and #2 working, I'm flummoxed on #3. The SMS API certainly gives some structures etc. for the Cell Broadcast messages, I don't know which functions to use to obtain that info from the OS.   I have a parametered filter in my sql query: Warehouse_Class_Code like '%' + @Filter + '%' In the parameter I have several value to set the right filter. When I run the report I always have to select one of the values. I added a label "All records" with a value "&". I tried "%" as a default value at the parameter settings. In the preview the label "All records" is shown, but when I run the report in the HTML browser, I see <Select a value>.
