  I keep trying to install visual C# express so I can run XNA Game Studio Express, but while installing I keep getting this error. Error 1402. • Visual Studio Express Editions Visual Studio C++ Express 2005 builds send my monitor nuts

  I'm running XP Home + SP2. Video adapter is NVidia GeForce 4 MX 440. Visual Studio C++ Express 2005. My monitor goes into a blackout/clicking frenzy due to resolution changes it believes exist during any build. This happens every time "Compiling..." appears in the Output window, and when "Linking..." comes up in it. This slows down my builds a lot, plus I can't use the machine for other tasks while all this is going on. The resolution appears to switch to some very low value, and the cursor appears as a fairly large white square on this black background. The problem lies somewhere in my Windows setup/registry.   hello! i am making 2 vb projects. i compile (build) the first project and everything goes right. it even created folder on program file's shortcut. now when i compile (build) my 2nd project, it also uses the same program file folder name . where can i change this thanks sir, i tried your suggestion, but on my start>all programs, my second program to compile still uses the same shortcut folder i need to use two separate shortcut folder on my start>all program. ...Show All

  Hi! I create a SSIS Package for ETL on my own machine. During development database was also on my machine. For access to this database an OLE DB connection was defined within a package in BI Development Studio. Everything worked well both in debug mode and testing package itself. Finally I need to load data to a database on a different machine using this package. I used several scenaries: 1) simply copied the package-file to estination machine, open it for execution, in section "Connection Managers" I edited connection string manually - changed server name and Initial Catalog.   I am trying to teach myself how to use windows form and I am currently stuck with not being able to have a new form opened by the clicking of a button. Currently I have an Intro.h form with a button Labeled 'Continue' on it.   Hi, I would want to be able to control incoming and outgoing calls. I know I can detect them with an object of SystemState. Now, there are several problems: - Can I detect them if the events occurs out from my application - Can I finish a phone call If it it possible: - I don't know if I can close an incoming phone call or if only the OS is able to do it. - I don't also know if it is possible to finish an outgoing phone call that I haven't initialized into my programme.   If it's not too much trouble, could this topic be stickied I am just wondering if we could have a main thread that carries links to all the tutorials. In other words, someone makes a thread with a new tutorial, and then, they post the link to it here with a description of the tutorial. That way, others don't have to search through a whole forum for just one topic. • SQL Server missing tables

  I have a database that I have been working on that is on a remote server for a website. I recently had them back up the database so I can work on it locally. After some time I managed to get the backup working, well sorta. Originally the database was a access 2000 database. This soon proved not to be up to the task. The server people converted the database to sql 2000 and everything is working on the site. However my backup has a problem. In the manager I can see all the tables that were there before. But when I go to run a query on the database through CF the only tables that it can see are tables that were created after the access conversion.   During my install I prompt the user for their username and password. I then try to verify this, but it requires elevated priviledges.   Hi, i tried adding a reference with extension 'dll' to my project but this error keeps popping up:This is not a valid assembly or COM component.Only assemblies with extension 'dll' or COM can be referenced. Help will be greatly appreciated! Right, only a COM dll or a .Net assembly can be added to references. Might be you are trying to add some native dll so you are getting that error. You can use dll with DllImport and use function names which you want to call. See Cetin's example! Usre your own name instead of user32.dll and use function name that is avaialble in that dll with correct paramater then you can call that function from anywhere in your code! I hope this will help!   Hi there, I am facing a critical problem. I am receiving a POST method from a remote computer and I want to utilize the capabilities of HeepListener class for automatic response and creation of http headers. However, I have tried it throughly and ,for one reason or other, it is not getting connected with the remote computer. So I tried several different appraoches just to share with you that it is strange that other ways of getting the response is working correctly.
