• SQL Server Cant's shrink tempdb in sql2k5

  Hi, tried to shrink 190gb tempdb but got following message: DBCC SHRINKFILE: Page 1:24027896 could not be moved because it is a work table page. Anyone know why The tempdb is almost empty, just doesn't release free space. Thanks for the info, but they don't address my issue. The problem I have is that tempdb has lot of free pages in internal object reserved page pool, but sql2k5 doesn't use those free pages when create new internal object. It expands tempdb to get more pages instead, so causes tempdb to keep growing. I got the page number of so called work table page and checked it with dbcc page to get object id it belongs to, but have no way to check if the object is still be used in the tempd ...Show All

  Howdy I'm trying to write a small FTP client with VB.NET 2.0 Any attempt to connect to the FTP server gets me the exception "(501) Syntax error in parameters or arguments." I've tried using My .Computer.Network.DownloadFile and also the FtpWebRequest class, both times supplying a URI, a method, a username and a password, but I get the same problem. Any ideas anyone I do not know about the control - we only own the System.Net namespace.   Hi, I am creating a Excel 2007 VSTO COM Add-In using VSTO 2005 SE . It runs perfectly fine when I build it and run the in development computer having VS 2005 . However, when I try to install the setup.exe or .msi file for the same addin in the client machine or Virtual PC having the following configuration: 1. VSTO Runtime 2. Office 2007 3. .NET 2.0 Framework it does not seems to load . I also did caspol settings to make it Fully Trusted . I get the following error " Not Loaded. • Visual J# Upgrading J++ to J# in Visual studio express

  I have followed the instructions to update a project from J++ 6.0 to J# in Visual studio express but it doesn't seem to work. The project gets unloaded and if I try to reload it I get a message saying "The application for project.vjp is not installed". Am I doing something wrong, or is the wizard not implemented in the Studio Express version so what should one do to upgrade I have an old project that was developed in J++ many years ago, the executable code has been running unchanged for all this time, but now because of the input data format changes we need to update it.   I downloaded updates last week. I have been using IE7 for a while with no problem. I dwnloaded the updates. Now when I open my browser the page tries to go to http://runonce.msn.com/runonce2.aspx .   Hello, I'm using Sandcastle (December CTP) and Eric Woodruff's Sandcastle Help File Builder to produce CHM documentation for a class library. Worked quite good, until I started to use the "addtional contect" facility to include a number of extra htm pages with samples to the docs. For some reason, when I include more than 10 (or so) additional pages, the output of the HTML Help Workshop compiler run is corrupted. There|s not any error or warning logged; however the chm file is only 9 KB in size (supposed to be around 500KB) and double clicking it gives an error message. • SQL Server Severe bug with typed xml - Is there a fix available?

  I keep getting the error message "An error occurred while executing batch. Error message is: Unexpected end of file has occurred." when selecting a column that contains typed xml. I can save the xml into the column ok, load it into a variable ok, but when I try and select this column using the select statement I get the error. After spending months in development we have finally launched our system into production and are flooded with hundreds of these errors. It does not occur all the time only for some values.
