Visual Basic Crystal Report Question
This would be my first time to make a report(a receipt actually) using Crystal Report.I had two querries in my access database and want to use in this report.My question would be, is it possible to use this two querries at the same time, I mean, say Querry1 deals with all the information of a certain customer that needs to be displayed in the receipt and Querry2 pertains to the transaction of the said customer.All the two querries were linked by the transaction number.Thanks... Visual Studio 2008 (Pre-release) Hard to do exact positioning.
I've just learned the basics of WPF and XAML but I find it very hard to do exact positioning in my programs. I've found out that you can use a Canvas and then use the item .SetValue( Canvas .LeftProperty, double); -function to place things, but thats a real hassle. Adding another canvas inside a canvas with exact layout doesn't work at all. I'm looking for the easiest way to place things X% from the left (relative from the usercontrols left edge, not the windows) with a width of Y%, i want my programs to work in fullscreen on all resolutions. Windows Forms Strange DataGridView Exception
I have an application which retrieves information from a SQL database puts it in a DataTable object and then loads it into a DataGridView object. My code exceutes fine and does not raise any exceptions. However when I attempt to step out of the function which loads the DataTable into the DataGridView object a DataGridView Default Error Dialog pops up (In my app not VS 2005) and will continue to pop up repeatedly after hitting OK. I’m very new to VB, and have looked at the answers to the same question but have become confused so I’d appreciate your help and advice on the following: I have 2 forms: Form 1 is called “Mainform” – this will be my “main page” where I keep all the other buttons and controls (when I make them!!). SQL Server High level of login/sec
Hi All Perfmon shows max 3900 login/sec and avg is 1500. ASP.NET v 2.0 application uses this SQL 2005 server consists of 10 webservers. Max Pool Size on each was changed today to 300 (was default so I suppose - 100) and it didnt change logins/sec graph at all. Application uses SqlConnection object from ADO.NET v 2.0 obviously. .NET Development Need of a fast timer
Hi, I was wondering if there were a faster timer than the control timer provided in the toolbox. I would like to take some value from a controller card at a rate of around 10-20 KHz. .NET Development Browsing the local network for shares?
Is there any functionality in the .NET Framework to programatically browse the the local network for file shares I looked in System.IO.Directory and System.Net but didn't see anything helpful. Windows Forms Catch a click outside the form
The form has no focus (in fact it doesn't get focus). The form has to know if a click happens outside the form. I'm developing a drop-down/pull-down button with a custom dialog-box as the drop object. I got all things figured out except for this one. Maybe you can investigate the Hooking of mouse messages. But it may not work if the messages are not sent to your app, that is, if you form can not get messages because of no focus, I'm not sure how to work out it. ...Show All

I remember a procedure for installing the correct version of javascript (262 possibly 327) to work propperly with HDDVDValidator.exe. I have searched the forum on this topic, but it is not available. Does anyone know where a tutorial for installing javascript to work with HDDVDValidator.exe might be thanks The jscript.dll is no longer provided with the Microsoft HD DVD Interactive Jumpstart. I have problems with running IE 7 on my Windows XP 32 bit system, and I would rather not upgrade to IE 7. SQL Server Custom Paper Size
My body width is set to 10. My left and right margins are set to 0.5in. And my page width and height are set to 11in and 8.5in, respectively. So in essence, I want to print my reports on Letter in Landscape mode. Yet when I go to print the report and look at the properties, it shows as 215.9 x 279.4 mm Custom paper. Any ideas Thanks. May have found something. Even though my report is set to 11x8.5 with 0.5 margins (giving me 10in to work with), I found my header, body, and footer set to 10.0000001. It seems that using snap to grid and the ruler for sizing and positioning add a infinitesmal value which throws off paper selection. ...Show All
Windows Forms Redistribution of "standard" toolbar icons?
Are the "standard" toolbar icons (the "save" disk icon, cut, copy, paste icons, et cetera) that appear in just about every application installed somewhere with Visual Studio (I'm using standard edition, 2005) It seems like everybody's applications but mine get to use these standard icons; I can't find an obvious way to add them to my forms via the C# form designer. Does everybody else just rip them out of applications using Print Screen and MS Paint That strikes me as rather illegal unless they've been released for redistribution -- in which case I'd imagine they'd be a little easier to find... but I can't find them. Windows Forms Controls appear attractive in design but not runtime
Hello, I have recently upgraded a number of VS projects into 2005 and I have noticed that for each of these applications the user controls appear different at runtime. When using the designer in 2005 the buttons appear rounded, and more user-friendly (like the buttons in IE) however at runtime (or during debug) all controls appear a ugly, grey, windows 2000 style appearance. If I create an Windows Forms application from scratch in 2005 I get the attractive controls in all cases - It just seems to be the upgrade. SQL Server MDX query with filter clause
Hi, I have the following MDX query which is supposed to return the number of records with Actual time > TargetTime for each customer, location and editor. Actual Time and Target Time are measures on the Fact table defined in minutes and represented by integer values. The hierarchy I have created is Customer Name Location Name Editor Name The MDX query I have written is: Count ( filter ( Descendants ([DimCustomer].[Customer_Hierarchy]. Visual Studio Dec '06 WSSF fails to install after installing Feb 07 GAX and GAT
If I install the Feb 07 GAX and GAT, the Dec 06 release of the WSSF fails with the error: "This installer requires the Guidance Automation Extensions June 2006 CTP which is not present on the computer. Please install it and try again." I'm using Win XP SP2, VS 2k5 Pro SP1. Also have AJAX framework installed, and a couple of other VS Add-Ins.
