• Game Technologies: DirectX, XNA, XACT, etc. 3D game sample/tutorial

  Has anyone released any samples/tutorials/simple games that are 3D for XNA I am really not interested at all in doing anything 2D. I have made some progress making a game with MDX, though I haven't completed it yet. However, I am still having a mental hurdle with how to structure things in XNA. Not having the fixed pipeline isn't helping much either. Yeah I saw that and I've put an example in the thread about inheriting from GameComponent into a class for rendering/updating game logic . • Visual C++ release build vs debug build problems (why?)

  I've been developing a small application using Debug build which works fine. I would like to do a Release build however the compilation of my source files fail. I don't understand why, perhaps someone could offer some assistance. Some background: The application does not use pre-compiled headers. Nor are there any pre-compiled headers included in any of my source files. (As noted this works fine when building Debug) I only mention it because my search for the solution has occasionally identified possible issues with pch (which I'm not using). • Windows Forms Setup Error - Failed to load resources from resource file.

  I am getting following error at random places in my application. "Setup error - Failed to load resources from resource file. Please check your Setup" Application closes if I click on OK button on the message box. Also, it does not happen on development machine, it only happens on client PCs.   This is using the Report Viewer control in a Windows form. This issue has been addressed in a number of posts, can’t find my variation though. I have an executable AAA.exe but the reports (main report and sub-reports) are in BBB.dll. AAA.exe loads BBB.dll dynamically – why – it has to be like this (there may also be a CCC.dll etc.). Both the executable and the DLL are in the same directory, and I get the error mentioned in the heading. If for test purposes I put the reports into the same project as the executable, then they work fine (can’t be done as I said).   I made CI work using Team Build after following the microsoft article: http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp url=/library/en-us/dnvs05/html/ConIntTmFndBld.asp The issue now is that it takes 12 minutes for the CI build to complete after a checkin is done. Now if somebody checks in any file during those 12 minutes, It doesn't queue the next build for that check in. Basically it means that it combines 2 processors, their caches, cache controllers into single intergrated circuit.My network folks say that OS thinks of a 4 dual-core physical CPUs as basically 8 physical processors.   Hi all, I am attempting to update the banner on my TFS Project Portal Home Page. I have successfully customized the project template to our requirements but would like to update the home page banner. Note I am not trying to update the banners displayed on the Process Guidance pages, but the banner on the project Home page.
