  • Internet Explorer Development IE7 - File Not Found ieframe.dll\1

Hello, After upgrading to IE7, all of my programs with the "Microsoft Internet Controls" (i.e. Webbrowser) are breaking when I load them in code (compiled still works though). I get the following error: "File Not found 'C:\Windows\system32\ieframe.dll\1' However, if i look in my references, all I can find that is there is the reference to shdocvw.dll, no ieframe dll. If I open a new project and add the controls, then I get the same error. To me there is something broken between the two. The strange thing is, it worked fine yesterday. I don't have my computer set to do automatic updates and I didn't do any updates last night. Anyone else having this issue Regards, Ryan So ...Show All

  • Game Technologies: DirectX, XNA, XACT, etc. Bitblt/bltfast in DirectX10

I am using bitblt and bltfast to put an image to a surface or from a backbuffer to a front bueffer. I don't use Direct3D at all. It has been working fine in XP with DirectX9. But when I test it in the "pretty" Vista. It shows me nothing on screen. I guess this is because of DirectX10. I traced my code and couldn't find anything wrong. Everything seems fine. All the surface creations and drawing functions returned DD_OK. Should the bitblit functions work in DirectX10 Can any one tell me how I should use them Many thanks. Max Liu Older versions of DirectX, such as DirectDraw7 should be re-routed via D3D9 under Vista. The base API version for the new OS is 9 and 10 is effectively an extension (even if it is a major fe ...Show All

  • Community Chat Is the new java goin to nail down .net ???

hello guys , One of my frnds told me that the new java is goin to nail down .net.Is this true Regards jr Web Developer www.iitjobs.com I think .Net will replace Java if MS make it available to other platform. You can do so much more on .Net than Java. But .Net is only for Windows if I remember correctly. And since MS wants to promot Windows, .Net will probably only works with Windows. That's what I will do if I am Gates. It helps Windows since it makes .Net program available across Windows platforms. But it will hurt Windows if .Net program can be run on competitor OS. ...Show All

  • Visual Studio Team System Work Item Tracking Customization - Potential Bug in TFS

I added some custom work item types and modified them using the GUI tool from Imaginets to export and import. When I found out I couldn't delete a work item or rename one, I ended up deleting my Team Project. I created a new one by the same name, but the menu for Work Items now displays an "Error loading menu: Index was outside the bounds of the array." I deleted that Team Project and created a new one by a different name, and it is working OK. I believe the problem is the with the Most Recently Used list maintained by the UI in the registry. It is trying to look up the old Workitem name in the registry and failing. To fix it, close your VS client and go to this path in the registry: HKEY ...Show All

  • Software Development for Windows Vista Single ownership transaction problem

Hi, I have a state machine workflow project, and have recently changed the persistence service to specify single ownership by setting the instanceOwnershipDuration property to Timespan.MaxValue. Since then I've had to change the machine that I'm running the workflow runtime on. When I run on the original machine everything seems OK, but when I try to run the application on the new machine I get the famous "the transaction has alreay been implicitly or explicitly committed ot aborted" error, even if it's a brand-new workflow instance. Surely a new instance should run OK from the new machine And if this is intended behaviour, how can I reset the system (database.. runtime.. ) to allow the new machine to execute its own ins ...Show All

  • Visual Basic “My” Name Space and Violation of OOP Concepts!

I am an old VB programmer; I started using this powerful language since it was “4” years old! In my MSC program I have studied a complete Java course with its “new” O bject O riented P rogramming (OOP) capabilities. I faced no problems to “absorb” these new concepts; and in a short time I became a “deeply” Object Oriented Programmer. Unfortunately I found that Java lost a big efficiency of VB 6; this is, specially, true when Java runs in windows platform .VB 6, itself, misses a lot of Java OOP capabilities. I did not wait a very long time till the news began talking about VB.Net! When VB.net was first introduced in early 2002; I faced no problems becoming familiar with it; VB.net combines the powerfulness of VB 6 and the OOP “ ...Show All

  • Visual Basic "*" Question

Hi again everyone, I am back once again working on a new project. For some reason I cant seem to find the info I need so, I am back here. :) Anyways, my project... I made a text file parser... it basically opens a text file of your choice, then it searches the document for any word you specify, afterwards, it places that info in a new textbox that you can save as a new file. What I really need this app for is to parse emails. Since the emails arent the same... just the same domain... I need to be able to use the * as a wildcard. Any info on how to do this would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance, The only domain I will be working with is aol.com With that being said, all I need to search for is "*@aol.com" That ...Show All

  • Visual Studio Team System I would like to make a fount end browser for work items / Nevermind...

Can any one point me in the right direction The bottom line of what I want to do is to have the WF Exployer (or whatever) edit an item based on work item ID I give it in a C# app. I have the SDK but I really don't want to write my own maintenance logic. I see that third party tools like TeamLook can do it. At least it looks very much like the maintenance form the pops up in the IDE. Some of my cliente have now SQL 2005 and my application still woks fine except in one of them. • Windows Forms Binding to sub objects with datagridview

I have a BindingList<t> of an object that I am binding to a datagridview. This object also has a List of subobjects. Is there any way that I can bind to anything on this sublist, such as bind to SubObjects[1] in the same datagridview. The subobjects are essentially dates with values and I would like display on one row the master object data, and at the end of the row have a column for a value of each of the subobjects. i.e. ProdLine Jan 2006 Feb 2006 My Prod Line 14 7 I know this master detail relationship can easily be done using separate controls, but my users would like see everything on the table. ...Show All

  • SQL Server SQL Package Installation Wizard on x64: Library not registered Error
