Visual Studio Team System Source Control Explorer Display Options
I have removed a couple projects from TFS using TFSDeleteProject. Unfortunately, the two projects continue to be displayed in Source Control Explorer. They are shown as deleted and I can view the history of changes. I'm assuming there is an option to hide these items, but I am unable to find it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. ...Show All
Visual Basic How to answer incoming calls ...
Hi I am trying to write an application in vb.net which answers incoming phone calls as plays the voices which I want on the phone. also it should understand the DTMF tones. I'd be glad if you giude me. thanks I am not sure what your question is... google will find about 20 tutorials on this, and it sounds to me like you haven't even tried. Sometimes you need to actually do some research before asking repeated questions on forums... It is rather frustrating to try and help someone who doesn't try to help themselves. If you want to use MSComm Control, you use it like any other control in VS. You need to read the documentation on it. If you have problems, ask specific questions about those problems. Software Development for Windows Vista System.IndexOutOfRangeException in Host implementation
I'm having a strange intermittent error that's causing me no small amount of grief. I've implemented a generic WWF host implementation for our company and it seems to be working okay except for one small issue. Every once in awhile I receive the following error in my Application event log " System.IndexOutOfRangeException" with no accompaying dotNet exception being thrown. My test case for this host is simply a file watcher (non workflow) that logs file activity into a database. The workflow host implementation uses a work provider model which periodically goes out to the database and retrieves a list of pending files that need processing. It then (based on the file's path) looks up a workflow and queue's these workflo ...Show All
Smart Device Development Data Connection Options and Techniques
Hi All, I am new to the .NETCF and actually the .NET Framework itself. I'm a MS Visual Foxpro Developer by trade and have experience developing client and web based applications using the following languages VFP9/VB6/C++6/XHTML/XML/ASP. I have recently been extremely excited by the prospect of using the ,NETCF2.0 and WM5.0 to develop a Windows Mobile based solution for one of our clients. I've done a lot of investigation into using the .NETCF2.0 to build this client solution, but not actually coded anything yet. I have created a design document detailing everything this solution should included and the language and platform to be used. Unfortunately I've hit a stumbler, my design document is far to idealistic. I have been tasked to b ...Show All
SQL Server Dual Y-Axes
Greetings, I'm wondering if it is possible to have two independent y-axes on a single chart I am wanting to plot data using a hybrid bar/line chart and have the values for the vertical bars show on the left y-axis and the values for the points on the line show on the right y-axis. I've seen this sort of thing done on other platforms before, but don't know if it is possible with SQL Reporting. We are using SQL RS 2000 by the way. Thanks -- Anthony Keep in mind that the CustomReportItem-based extensibility (such as "Dundas Charts for Reporting Services" or similar offers from other third parties) are available for SSRS 2005 only in Standard, Enterprise, or Developer Editions. It is not available for SSR ...Show All
Visual Studio Team System CoreCompile MSBuild-Task ignores redirected environment variable

SQL Server SSRS can't subtract
It looks like I've discovered a subtraction bug related to days extracted from dates. I am building a chart that displays the number of downloads for a file by week. Game Technologies: DirectX, XNA, XACT, etc. Highly Optimized 2D Drawing
With the trends in hardware today, would it be worth the effort to render groups of sprites to offscreen surfaces For instance, we have an gui window composed of 9 sprites (All stored in 1 image, and will be rendered in a batch). 5 Of these sprites will every need scaled or tiled to draw the window every frame. Assuming that during the gui windows lifetime it's size and appearance will remain relatively constant, we can render it to an offscreen surface. This would allow us to minimize the scaling and vertex buffer operations to a single blit in future redrawings of the window. Or is it best to constantly push new quads to the GPU for processing like the Spritebatch object currently does The constant pushing of quads would only requir ...Show All
Visual C# input data to website
Ok right now I have to configure routers manually by inserting the exact same data into a router's configuration panel (website on router) then swap out the configured router with one that needs the exact same setup and redo this process over and over. SQL Server Management Studio - Index properties grayed out
If I right click on an index, the properties context menu is grayed out as well as the "New Index...", "Disable", and "Delete". If I right click on a table and click modify, I can add and edit indexes from there just fine. Strangely enough "Included Columns" is grayed out though. Was the database designer or table designer opened at the time We prevent the index dialogs from being launched when the table is being designed. The database and table designers work by making the state of the tables (including indexes) match the internal model in the designers. This includes index and constraint definitions. Reconciling the state on the server to the state in the model ...Show All
Internet Explorer Development IE 7 Prompt for Cookies
Hello, I'm currently working on a website and having a problem when Cookies are set to Prompt in IE7. What the application is doing is they are on a page a cookie is set (once they click Allow) then they redirect to a survey on another site, they fill out the survey and then are redirected back to my site. The Cookie expiry date is set to DateTime.MaxValue and yet it does not exist after the redirect. My guess is that once you leave your original site all cookies are deleted related to that site if you have Cookies set to Prompt. My questions is: Are cookies deleted after you leave the site they were created on if they in the settings Cookies are set to prompt ...Show All
Game Technologies: DirectX, XNA, XACT, etc. Content Pipeline
Hi, I haven't really used the Content Pipeline seriously yet but I've seen the official tutorials on it and understand them. Now, I'm thinking - what if I want to load a certain model/effect or anything else that the Content Pipeline supports - BUT I want to load it dynamically/at run-time, e.g. I have a certain filename that my code wants to use to load content, but I don't know it until runtime. Is there some sort of dynamic way of using what otherwise seems to be a static Content Pipeline Thanks... All of your content will need to be pre-processed. You can load any of the processed content at runtime, for example if you had 10 models you could add them to a combo box and let the user pick the one the ...Show All
