• SQL Server grouping rows by customer

  my source flat file has many rows per customer, but I need to transfer it to database with only one row per customer and accumulated sales (and probably do other calculations and lookups).   I am trying to use SSIS to pull data from teradata to SQL2005. 1. When setup ole db source, firstly i setup the connection manager. I tested the connection to teradata, it prompted Okay without problem. 2. then, there are 4 types of data access mode for selection.     If I select view directly, it works fine for copy specific view directly. • SQL Server DImension depends on other dimesion

  I have a parent child hierarchy in a table. Due to some requirements we need to create the same hierarchies for different years with different primary keys. i have data for 2005 and 2006 when i create a new parent chile dimension I am getting all 2005 and 2006 hierarchies. I have one more dimension where I list only years. Now I want to fileter the first diemsion depending on second dimension. I tried "depends on Dimension" property. it is not allowing me to save the dimesion at all. It is saying invalid parent child relationship if i remove the "depends on Dimension" then every thing is working fine except filtering. I need filtering of One dimesion from other. Pleas help!!!!   I've build a very simple service in WCF.  I've run the svcutil against the svc and generated the proxy and config.  I've incorporated the config as the App.config in my windows client.  When I attempt to make a call to the service using the proxy I receive this error message: "An error occurred while receiving the HTTP response to http://localhost:1671/Services/. This could be due to the service endpoint binding not using the HTTP protocol. This could also be due to an HTTP request context being aborted by the server (possibly due to the service shutting down). See server logs for more details."   Vista hasnt been out for long but we are already seeing a big issue relating to gadgets which is piracy. I have already seen probably 5 examples of people taking someone elses gadget, making a few changes and re-releasing it. I have been developing widgets/gadgets for Mac OS X and Yahoo Widget Engine for 2 years now and i dont think i can even think of 5 similar cases in that time. As far as im concerned unless a gadget specifically states that you may modify and re-release it then those people are breaking copyrights. Just because you can view the source of a gadget that does not mean it should be considered open source in a typical sense.   Hi, I installed and used the first 64 bit beta without issue but the other day I got an email to download a second RC1 beta. Again I download the 64 bit version. This time I get an install crash nearing the last reboot and I have to start the install from scratch again. I've re ran the install 2 or 3 times and I keep getting this crash. I have been installing vista on a spare drive so if you want me to post a log/dump file no problem.
