SQL Server Aggregate() doesn't aggregate over an expression
We use CTP3 of SQL Server 2005 SP2. SQL Server MSSQL Express 2005 performance so inconsistent!
Hi, just wondering if anyone noticed the MSSQL Express 2005 is so inconsistent with its performance. I was testing out a query with 2 joins, with the main table having about 13,600,000 records. With the same criteria value, sometimes it finished executing in 3 secs. sometimes almost a 1 min. Could it be just the volume of the data This is really driving me crazy! Visual Studio Express Editions ildasm
I am having troubles how to make ildasm work with visual C# express. How do I get it done. Also my command line will not recongize csc files. What is wrong in regards to the last question, by default the environment path is not set to the path of the C# compiler, csc. The path is located here: C:\Windows\microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727 this is the path where csc exists. You can then use this to do whatever it is you like to do :-) You can even set this path in the system environment path so everytime you boot up your computer, and you type in "csc" it can then automatically look through its list of environment paths to look for that command/file and if you put in the path to the file ...Show All
Software Development for Windows Vista How to start process in session before user logs on?
I have a need to start a process in a session before the user logons on. On XP I used a Windows Logon Notification Package to do this. When a new session was created, Winlogon.exe in that new session called my WLNP and it was able to start the process before the user logged on. The process is used to support smart card logons for that session. I'm trying to find out how to do something similar on Vista. I know logon notification packages are no longer supported. I know how to write a service to get session creation notification, but I don't know how to start a process in the new session before the user logs on. Visual Basic Tracking keyboard (In)activity
I am writting some code to help me track when user activity is not going on on a computer and I've been having a big problem getting it right. Not an event that will be trapped by a windows control. I've been able to get it right for mouseactivity, (just movement and not a button press though.) I used windows.forms.cursor.position to track a change in it's position. But I've not been able to get keyboard activity right. Can someone please help.I'm using VB2005 express edition. I have built a data entry VBA application in Excel so we can input data electronically instead of manually on paper only. I created a series of Userforms to display one at a time to "walk thru" the test procedure and allow entry of the data for one section at a time. The problem I have is that I am trying to use the standard form controls "frmTest.Hide" or "Unload Me" when done with the forms. Then if I wish to redisplay one or more of the forms for re-entry use "Load frmTest" and/or just frmtest.Show if old form just hidden. I am seeing that the old forms are not hiding or unloading and worse when I try to redisplay with either the "Load frmTest" if previously unloaded and "frmTest.show" I get a VBA error that it cannot display ...Show All

Hello guys and girls! My subject is my problem..that i will explain better now: I have a database with saved imagepath, now i want to create a report with those images. I've tried the Crystal Report solution but only XI have the Graphic Location option and i ’have the 8.5 version so forget this way. Other option is to compose a word interop document and insert those images...but...the instalation computer must have Word installed (i think). I would like to create a calculated column that aggregates string values from a child table. Can someone point me in the direction of creating custom aggretagtion functions that can be used in the dataset designer (as opposed to sql server 2005 which is the only information I can find). What I want to do is something like this: Table: Person Table: CarOwners Table: CarModels Person can own many different CarModels CarModel can be owned by many different People I would like to have the dataGridView show the Persons details along with a comma delimited column Listing the models of cars he/she owns. Visual Studio Calling project method within VS IDE from an Add-In
Hello, I've designed an Add-In that parses and displays VB Project Methods in a treeview using extensibility. The VB project scan its own assembly to retreive its own methods and displays them in a treeview. I can run a method within this project using the "InvokeMember" method by double-clicking treeview nodes. This project knows VS 2005 instance it lives in. The executed method is in the IDE as when I put a breakoinp in method code it stops where the breakpoint is set. What I would like now is to call VB Project methods by double-clicking on Add-In treeview method's name, then execute the method within the IDE. Hello, I have a problem with some in a file. when i excute ma package to import data with my *.cvs file ssis bloqued le data flow in the line number 1042 and output this error : column delimiter note found for the column 50 wich is the last column . Dear all I have been thinking the last few days of a best way to achieve this task: I have two pieces of software. They are both independent application and are final products.(i cant modify the soure).But they both provide an API listing methods that i might want to use to extend some functionality. What i would like to do is as follows: If i am in PROGRAM A and i click the mouse i would like to transfer the mouse click to PROGRAM B.Or if i drag the mouse in PROGRAM A i would like to do the same event in PROGRAM B and vice versa.
