SQL Server Use VPN to connect remotely to SQL Express server
Hello, I'm using a Windows XP Home laptop to connect to a network of one of my customers. The administrator of the customer has given me a username and password for a VPN connection. I've got the VPN connection working and I can ping the SQL Express server. This server is using Windows Authentication. For the users of my VB application we have added a group to the Active Directory and added this group as a user to the SQL Express Server. This works and the users can access the database from within the application. The SQL Express Server allows remote connections and the browser service is also running. Visual Studio Team System What is the meaning of Exit Criteria in Scenarios.xls?
Hi Cany someone explain me in detail the meaning of the filed 'Exit cirteria' in the scenarios list (scenarios.xls) Thanks in advance Javier From the Agile Guidance: Exit Criteria is a Yes or No value indicating if the scenario is part of the iteration backlog. This field is used to synchronize the various views of the backlog (the scenario list, quality of service requirement list, and iteration plan). If the exit criteria field is set to Yes, the scenario displays in the project checklist query and work product. This field will be renamed to "iteration backlog" in a future release. Internet Explorer Development Toolbar using ToolStrip control, can't seem to move it in IE7?
I have a toolbar written using the ToolStrip control in the .NET framework 2.0. My problem is that once installed, the end user can't grab the toolbar and move it around. I've tried several different things: When I wrap it in a ToolStripContainer, it fools me like it will move by giving me the NESW arrow and letting me drag an outline around, but the toolbar itself never moves. I've tried messing with the GripStyle, Dock, and Anchor settings, and am coming up completely empty. My toolbar's grip shows up as a solid line, instead of a dashed line like every other toolbar inside of IE (which all can seem to move correctly). Visual C# how to write text to desktop wallpaper
Hi, Does anybody know how to write some text to the desktop background. Currently, I can write some text to the current wallpaper image file and then use SystemParametersInfo to display the new image...but that doesn't seem to be a good way to do so because the text format will be changed according to the setting of the screen resolution and the position property (center, stretch, tile). Is there any way to output the text directly to the desktop without touching the background image Thanks. Ok. I realise collision detection has been discussed quite alot, but after doing a fair bit of searching through the forums and the web, I still can't find a solution to my problem. I am working on a arial view car game (remember GTA 1 and 2 ) and I am at the point where I need to handle collisions. Most people seem to be using BoundingBoxes, which would work fine in a few situations, but in my case, drawing an axis aligned box around my rotating car would be far too inacurate. I realise that the boundingbox class does not allow rotation as mentioned in this forum, so I am wondering if anyone is aware of an alternative solution. Hi Guys, First Question: I am trying to somehow to access any one cell in a datagridview What i want is when i right click on the cell i wanta pop a pop-up where i can enter some values which on pressing the butten in the pop up will appear in the cell i selected using the rightclick. Any idea how i can do it Second question: I display some items declared in a structure in a data gridview!I want to display some of these items in other format (for example Bold with red color). SQL Server IN SQL Server Management Studio - Can connect to database sort of but Icon isn't green anymore
Preface: I'm a newbie at 2005 and sql server in general. I can connect to a sql server (2005 express) but I can only make views and not run queries. When I open up a new query and create it with query designer and click add table I see no tables, views or anything in the box. When I create a new view in the database I do see tables and views though. The little circle part of the icon on the server in the left hand pane is clear now when before it was green. I still can connect to the database ok but I can't use the query analyzer for queries anymore. How to copy just the text from a textbox to the clipboard in VBA (MSO 2000 - Excel). I can copy the entire textbox but I only want the text (not the box). Where can I add the errorhandler to get a nice errormessage when a user inserts a diplicated value in a datatable. It depends on temporary name pattern that may change from version to version. For instance SQL Server 2005 generates names like ‘UQ__xxx__yyy’. Consider using SqlException.Number . SQL Server open cube to browse takes very long time
I broke up my cube into 24 partitions. There are about 630M total fact rows in that cube. When I open the cube to browse in BIDS or SQL Management Studio it takes very long time to open (I think 30 minutes). Profiler does not show that it's running a query, but messages like this keep appearing throughout the time it's opening to browse: Progress Report Begin, 14- Query, Started reading data from the 'p0' partition.
